Mikki almost gave me a heart attack!! 1 Attachment(s) I woke up this morning and did a few things in my office. Rosie and Mikki both come to the office when I do. My son came in to the office pleading his case on going back to bed instead of going to church. So I wasn't paying much attention to my girls. I started to get ready for church when I noticed that Rosie was under my feet but Mikki wasn't. I started calling for her. Nothing. I looked under the bed (her favorite hiding place). Nothing. I am still calling her name. Nothing. My oldest son (who is nonverbal) comes out and tells me in sign that he let her outside. So now I am getting upset. I go outside hollering her name. Nothing. By now, I am losing it. I am crying and calling for her. Still nothing. To make a long story short, my youngest (who is 14) calmly starts looking for her. She was locked in the bathroom.:eek::eek::eek: I guess one of us went in there and closed the door and didn't realize she was still in there. She never made a sound! Needless to say, momma told her to BARK from now on!! :D Thank God she was safe. I pulled it together and off to church we went! Geez what a morning!!!!! Now look at this face, she is saying "Did I do that?" Attachment 364402 |

Oh, you bet I would be loosing it too! So, glad it was a happy ending, but wheez...what a way to start you morning;) |
I am sure you thought she was lying injured or worse somewhere in that house as you frantically searched! Tibbe has done this type of thing to me in the past and I cannot help it, I just go weak-kneed. I too have found him behind a closed door - once in a closet(!) and again in a back bathroom when I'd closed the door without even knowing he was anywhere near. And he didn't say a word while I was calling and calling him. Once when he got shut in the Utility Room, at least he whined when he heard me called so that saved that heart attack. They can scare you silly, can't they? |
 What a morning for you! I am so relieved for you that Mikki is safe and sound, and I can relate to the panic! I've lost my boys in the house, in closets and the laundry room. I panic even when I know that they haven't had access to the outside. |
Don't you hate when they do that. My Brandi did the same thing to me except it was 3 in the morning. The one time you want them to bark and they don't. So glad she's okay.:p |
This made me realize just how much I love the little toot!! |
Isn't it the truth? When you do finally see that bright little face, you are overcome with feelings of the loss you could have had! |
Wow, what a way to start your day, so glad that it all worked out and no one was hurt... |
OMG! I have had that same moment of panic  My saving grace is that Sugar will bark out a "here I am" call when she can hear the fear in my voice :p |

I'm glad she was safe!! What a stressful moment. These little ones are too quiet sometimes. (can't believe I just said that!) |
They sure can scare the pants off ya....glad to hear that she was safe and locked inside the house. What a way to jumpstart the day. |
