I too have watched this video in the past. I also do not believe he is getting some kind of excitement out of it and just wants to educate people about one of the (and I presume because I am not a breeder) more commonly used ways to dock tails. My next pup will not have its tail docked... |
not watching either... |
Wow! Awwweeee. I can't believe my little Max was ever that small. I felt sick watching the video. Thanks for sharing! |
I am not watching the video, all I can say is my little love has a full tail and I LOVE it!!! |
well this is the uk breed standard for showing. Dogs Monthly Magazine Yorkshire Terrier – Yorkshire pride : Simply the best magazine for all dog lovers you have to scroll down a bit |
perhaps if enough people complain.... tail docking (except for working or medical reasons) could be made illegal or perhaps the option should be tails on except by request.... |
I know that silky breeders have been at it with the AKC for the past 5 years on the tail docking issue, and the answer from the AKC was if is not broken why change it, so nothing was done, but a few breeders were black balled according to them for speaking out, so now we are on the sidelines, also I have to say that I had a litter non docked and people would not pay me the same ammount of money for them as they do for the docked ones.. so the public has a lot to do with this decission too.. I find that the people here are a lot more conservative when it comes to the welfare of the babies that is why I stick around, I like that, unfortunately the rest of America differs a bit... hugs, |
