Does your Yorkie think it is a cat?
 

My Yorkies think they are cats, especially Tucker. I will come down stairs and he will be laying in the sun on the coffee table, one day I looked and there he is sitting on the desk next to the computer like it was his. I sometimes wish I had the camera around my neck so I could catch all the comical things these pup do! Tucker can jump an 18 inch gate, it is scary.

Couver and Khloe both rub around my ankles like a cat when we are at the dog park. I think they like to 'mark' us as theirs, and they rub all over us only at the park. Our cats do that at home, but I think it's more of an "I want love" kinda thing :)

I will have to catch Foxy in the act...Her favorite thing is to lick her paws and then rub her face, just like our cat does! Its really funny to watch!

Well I have 5 cats so im sure mine have picked up some things from them. Jewely licks like a cat and she loves to lay in the sun. Im sure there are other things but cant think of them right now

cedric thinks hes the leader of the cats.....jack sparrow is bigger than him and cedric just attacks and plays like hes the same size as jack. it is so funny.

Brody lays in the bow window all day long . . .he jumps onto the couch and walks the window until the very end, then plops down . . .that is where I will usually find him when I'm pulling up the driveway after work . . .:D He also likes to sit on the back of the couches . . .he's never been around a cat, but he sure can act like one . . .:p

That is funny because that is my Jewels who is smaller than the cats. Shes the enforcer of the cats she keeps them in line

Gracie was raised with cats so she does follow in their footsteps. When I buy the cats catnip toys Gracie will gather them all up and put them in her stash collection of toys. She loves to sit on the back of the rocker recliner like a cat. I always take her down because I don't want her to fall. She plays with the cats, too.

Our maltese (Lilly) thinks she's a cat. She does the darnded things.

Jackson is constantly climbing on the ledges of couches, and laying on them, and jumping from couch to couch. Yup he thinks he's a cat. lol

Ginger was raised by the cat so she mimics her alot. She cuddles with the cat, sleeps on the back of the sofa and chair too - just like the cat. I love to watch them play. One will hide in the doorway and wait for the other to walk by and they pounce! Either one will instigate it. Hilarious!

Ginger also circles when I feed the cat just hoping I will drop a kernel her way. As soon as I open it, she is there! LOL!

My Yorkies = 1/2 cat + 1/2 toddler costumed in "act like a dog now and then"...and a pullover sweater! :D

We say Bella is a cat in a puppies body. They are cat-like.

Mine definitely do! Both Maci and Mojo love to run along the back of the couches even though they know this scares me to death! Just goes to show what living with 4 cats will do to your yorkies!

Yes, Jack too, loves the back of the couch! He runs from one end to the other and plops right down. He has 3 kitty brothers and sister (2 male cats and 1 female) so yea, he has acuqired some of their bad habits... lol

Yes, here kitty kitty, and the dogs all come! lol.

Belle acts like a cat, too. She loves to sleep on the back of the couch above my head. She also wrestles with my daughter's two young male cats - scares me to death sometimes!

Oh yes, Sophie thinks she is a cat. She rubs along furniture, fences, people. She will step just out of reach when you try to pick her up.:rolleyes:

I joke with the DH all the time that Mickey is a cat-dog.
He has so many cat like traits!

Maybe not a cat but definitely a rag doll. My baby can be so lazy that when I sit her up when's she sleeping or even when she is just relaxing, she will flop back down like a rag doll. It's the funniest thing.....:D.

Sissy is very cat like in the way she stretches.

Mine sleeps on top of the couches and runs along the tops of them and we dont even have cats for him to mimic! When we go on walks he doesn't chase cats, bark at cats etc.. I think, he thinks hes one of them! Its very odd!!!

Zeus thinks he's human... but my cat Odysseus thinks he's a dog! :rolleyes:

Yup! Cat like tendencies here too! Our cat passed just before we got Copper. We discovered very quickly that Copper loved to find the jingle balls the cat left behind. They are one of his favorite kind of toys!

We say our Milo acts like a cat but barks like a dog. He rubs one side of his body on the bottom of the couch and then turns around and rubs the other side. It's so funny. He gets on the couch and jumps onto the coffee table. He will get on the bathtub and then jump on the counter and then drinks out of the faucet of the sink if we turn it on for him.

Nicky thinks he is a cat too...

He will force me to pet him, which he really REALLY doesn't need to do cause I love to pet my boys!! He will also head but me then roll his head into my hand like my sisters cat does... My sister has two kitties that he LOVES to play with, they however don't always love playing with him lol. Nicky also answers to here kitty kitty! lol When my sisters calls for the kitties and Nicky comes running she always says, you nut ball your a dog not a cat!! lol:D

Well I don't have any pictures of it but Tibbe will sometimes walk along the very outer edge of the den couch pillows and what keeps him from falling off - I don't know. I try to discourage him but am too afraid to disagree with his actions when he has already committed as I fear he might try to stop and turn around and lose his balance - as he did the one time I did say "no, no" when I caught him doing it. I've since caught him right at the beginning of attempting one of these edge-walks enough times now that he hardly ever does it anymore but when I first got him after he'd lived for 9 months mostly in a cage and knew nothing about the world, he started doing this - as if he had no idea he was subject to gravity! I thought only a very nifty-footed cat could pull off a balancing act like that the first time I saw it - an almost grown Yorkshire Terrier tripping along the front edge of the couch from one end to the other when just one misplaced step and down he would go! I mean he gets right on the very front edge of the pillows and starts walking the length of the couch and mostly when I realize he is doing it, he's halfway along the edge and as I said, am too fearful to say anything until he is done! Also he loves to get on the arms of chairs and couches! I used to come into the room and there was Tibbe, lying on the arm of the couch or one of the upholstered chairs! Like a cat or something! I would just gently start saying "No, no, no......" in a low voice and he would rise and get off and onto a seat cushion. He also loves to walk along the top back of the den couch but since it is backed up against a long window with the top of the back cushions level with a window ledge, that is okay. But my catlike Yorkie can scare me to death with his feline ways!

My boy Nico loves to lay on the top cushion of my sofa! Along with on top of my recliners, but after him falling once from there ( uninjured thank god) I quickly pull him off the top of the recliner.

My Yorkie Mix, Delilah thinks she is a Rottweiler...My Rottweiler, Adria thinks she is a Yorkie....
