| All of mine have puppy cuts for spring and summer and then I let it grow in the fall and winter but I am starting to rethink this as I am thinking with shorter hair in the winter maybe we would have less snow balls to deal with lol. Just a pic to show ya what I mean .

| I keep Riot in mostly a puppy cut. The first two pictures are just after a hair cut and the second two are after it's grown out a bit

| Zoey wears a short puppy cut. Lucy and Cozy wear middle length puppy cuts. Roxy gets a puppy cut for coat and sweater season and then grows her hair long.

| Bailey stays in a puppy cut all year! The clothes keep her warm... I think that puppy cuts are just easier to handle. You don't have to worry about putting up their long hair if they want to have clothes on, and I feel like puppy cuts look more cleaned up and stylish! Bailey can only deal with the hair in a bow, anymore and she might kill me. |

That pic is when I first shaved them down...the leg hair is longer now and the face is a little shorter. This is the easiest cut to do and so easy to maintain.Quote:
but it sure does look like a full coat since my two wear clothing most every day![]() Quote:
His coat is just pure cotton and a nightmare to comb and brush. This style is just so much easier for him and for me I loved it so much on him I decided to do Jada and I will never grow out their coats again. They are just so much happier in this cut, plus the look as cute as bugs in a rug

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | I love their cuts! I was just thinking of cutting Roxie down as she has a terrible cottony coat and with everything going on it is getting hard to maintain 4 in long coats. Your yorkie looks a lot like Roxie and gave me a good idea of how she would look in a short cut.

| Scooter always has a puppy cut. It's too hot here in Florida for all that fur plus he plays outside a lot and gets good and dirty.

| IMHO it's just a personal choice. They are so cute it really doesn't matter. I like Ruger's hair a little longer, but sometimes the groomer overdoes it a bit. Also, there is something between long and a puppy cut where he looks good but is easy to brush -- and he likes to be brushed. Again, IMHO, smaller Yorkies look better with puppy cuts. Ruger is about 12lbs so he looks a little funky with really short hair -- but still cute. |

| It's a lifestyle decision At least on our part. For us, short hair just works better. Chewie has thick, fluffy, easily-matted hair, and he's all boy--plays hard and doesn't like to sit still to get brushed! In the summertime I clip him really short (not quite shaved, but almost), and when it's colder, I let him get a little bit longer, but not so long that we have to brush out tons of tangles every day. Plus, I just like the way he looks with it short ![]() This is after his most recent cut.

| I keep Louie in mostly a puppy cut, a little longer face, not shaved legs but a little longer also. The body is short. It is just easier and he looks cute

| my zowi had a full coat that was never cut (except in hygenic areas) until she was 9 years old. then i decided to cut it all off to make her more comfortable. (i have them leave some hair on her ears and face.) she was panting a lot and it seemed like she was sick of all the upkeep as her coat is cottony, easily tangles, and requires a lot of work to keep it neat looking. she all of a sudden hated getting her legs brushed. she looks adorable and is more comfortable with the cut. i have her cut down at least twice a year. my pixie has a silky thin coat that is just incredibly easy to keep up with, so we keep her coat long. her hair never tangles and she doesn't mind a comb out every day. i love both looks, and for me i get the best of both worlds!!!
