I've just read this on Craigs List:

not sure why i was flagged asked a rehoming fee of $ 100 obo for a dog we paid $ 800 for but i have to find this little guy a home my mastiff is going to kill him hes terrified I can't even leave him out of a cage or my dog attacks him my mother in law is going to assisted living and can't take him with her, hes good with other dogs older children, and housebroken, has been spoiled all his life and we will let him go for less money but if thats the case, i want vet references and personal references and a home visit if your not willing to pay for him I would rather have him put to sleep then let him end up as a breeder in a cage or see him on the news dead because some sick person got him for free so if this gets flagged again he's going to be put down or go to a rescue if i can find one thats not full, i've already tried and can't find one that will take him in immediately, I don't care about the money and i'm willing to let him go for less as long as you have the credentials to prove you provide a good home Unfortunatly I can't put my phone number on here because last night the happy flagger on here called me over and over again preaching about making money off of this dog so email me and i'll get back to you with my number and pics.

I wrote to the person and begged them not to put this boy down, I asked them to come here and join and post, that maybe someone here may be willing to take the lil guy. Here is the pic that was with the post.

I hope it was ok to post this here, if not, I'm sorry. I just don't want this lil guy to be put down and thought perhaps someone here could help.

The add says Youngstown. I looked under Akron and the add came up there, but in the add is says Youngstown.

Someone posted 2 posted under it sayin it's a fake, but I don't think I'm so sure. Why would the owner come back and make another post after their add was deleted if they didn't really wanna find a home for this boy? I've wrote to them and asked for their phone number and said I could post it here (if that's allowed) hopefully I hear something back.

Ok, it says to E-mail them and they'll mail the telephone number and pics. Oh I pray somebody can help this boy.

Me to. My heart just cries for this lil guy. And I know this is a terrible thing to so, but I just can't do it, not after just losing Dottie, I can't. God forgive me. Praying someone here can give this lil guy a loving forever home. I've E-mailed the person 2 times, waiting to hear something back. Does anyone know of any rescues in the Ohio area near Youngstown that would take him in immediately?

Thank you so much TraciG. I pray to God they reply to someone and this lil guy can find a home where he can be happy and loved. Even getting him into a rescue at this point would be great. I've mailed the person a few times, haven't heard anything back yet, maybe they are at work or something. Please, if anyone hears anything, will you post and let the others know. I just don't want this lil guy to die, he deserves life and love just like any other furbaby.

Anything you could do to help, I'm sure that lil guy would be forever grateful for. Rather it's keeping him or finding him that special forever home, either at this point would be so much.

:( My heart breaks to think of that. My son has a mastiff/rottie mix, he's way over 100 pounds, a yorkie is no match by any means. Still no word, praying to hear something soon.

Maybe you could post this over under "yorkie rescues and new homes needed." Some people interested in rescues watch that area. I know many rescue agencies are full and financially strapped right now. Hopefully if a rescue cannot be found a good owner will be available.

There is an Angels for Animals here in Lima (3 1/2 hrs away) The Canfield one is only 18mins away from Youngstown OHio.

I have no way of contacting the person now, I could only do it through the add that was listed on Craigs List :( Unless the person who made the add contacts me at my personal E-mail address (which I sent in the reply to them) I won't have any way to contact them at all. Praying God is watching over this lil one and works it out to where he can find a forever loving family and home to call his own.

If the person does not respond, perhaps it was a bogus ad. That might be why it kept getting flagged! CL is so well known for those games. I don't bother even looking at it.

Some of these ads are posted exclusively to "mine" email addresses. They make the ad dramatic as possible. It's funny, I responded to a similar ad a while back on CL and a week or so later, my email was hacked:eek: So from now on, if the person doesn't post a phone number, I skip the ad, no matter how sad or desperate it sounds:(

That's horrible!! Why would people do something like that?

Just wondering, was the only link you clicked was the one to reply through CL to the Email there? I didn\'t click any other links except that one. Just dumped my temps, gonna clear my cache and do a total scan on my computer just in case.
