I have found Comfortis to be really good and works really fast, within two hours. Good luck. |

We use K9 Advantix and I have used this for a few years now. Levi contracted Lyme disease while on Frontline. If I find any ticks at all on Levi or Lily they are generally dead. I live on Cape Cod lots of sand and lots of fleas and ticks(lyme) and I have not had a problem since I started using this product. |

This is what we use also. |
I used to have a little Shih Tzu that had a severe flea allergy. When they are allergic to fleas it only takes one flea to send them into a horrible state. The flea just walking on their skin starts the reaction. The flea feces also cause a severe reaction. They will itch and scratch though you might not see anything on them. It's awful. If left untreated a form of eczema will develop on the skin. Then usually steroid shots are the only relief. |
check out flea busters, it works and is not toxic, they can apply it depending on where you live or you can order it and do it your self. I moved into a place and months later fleas, no matter what I done. I had flea busters come out and I have not used frontline in a long time |

I had a vet tell me not to use dawn on pets it dries out their skin, and it make sense we use dawn on grease so imagine what it does to your pets. |
I feel for you. Fleas are bad news. Fleas carry tapeworms. It is difficult to know what works best in your area and for your dog. A good doctor can give you information and suggestions. Our Vet worked with us to find the best product. We use Trifexis, it prevents most intestinal worms, fleas, flea eggs, flea larva, ticks, mites and heart worms. We live in Fl. and parasites are a year round problem. |

I think I want to go with the natural remedies to deal with the flea problem. I've been doing some research and I don't like the long term effects of putting those toxins in my baby. I just don't. :( I read that the heartworm tablet is like drugging up your dog's system with the cure over and over when it is not needed and it actually lowers the body's immunity to other things. And hinders the healing of wounds and the abililty to fight things off. So yeah. I think natural is the way to go. |

Don't get me wrong i've used dawn on my pets for years to kill fleas, since the vet told me that couple years ago I haven't used dawn on my pets, since then. |
