you know something I do remember them giving me any..I'll call first thing in the morning to ask about it..I totally forgot.. when I got her cuddled up in her blanky I forgot about everything else.. OH NO I'm such a bad mommy..

No, you are not a bad mommy. Many vets do discharge without pain meds. For the life of me, I don't understand it. Do call in the morning! She will be ok until then...I am sure she will sleep through the night.

She will be ok without them. We didn't use any. They will sleep anyway.

Personally, I give my pups pain meds for 3 days following surgery. The pups have a way of hiding their discomfort. I don't take any chances that they may be in pain...just because they don't whine and cry does not mean it does not hurt!

I didn't even ask because my mind was on her.. she looked so bad..her eyes were goowy, her mouth was full of slober,and her leggy still had the iodine on it, then she cried when they put on the cone.. I can't believe it really.. like a person coming out of surgery..thanks for your suppoet.

No your bad mommy. Just call them in the morning and have them give you some.

I have to agree with you, Linda. But Kacee was fine in a couple of days and so was Muffin. They both had discomfort into the second day, but after that they were ok. I don't know why they don't give them pain meds, either.
