Thanking God A lil background for those who don't know Jazzie.... She's a lil over 1 1/2 years, she spend her first 6 months or so in a puppy mill, only to be sprung out by a lady who wanted her for nothing more than to breed her and make money off of her. When Jazzie wouldn't produce puppies, she was no longer wanted:( Only by the grace of God did I find out about her and God cleared the path and she is now in our home and leaving paw paw prints in our hearts every single day. Jazzie didn't know what a toy was when she came to us, didn't know how to play, didn't know what a treat was and wouldn't eat one for the longest time. She only weighed 3 pound when she came to us, she's finally up to 4 pounds 12 ounces now :D Our lil Maggy is a chihuahua/yorkie mix, she's 5 pounds and just full of spunk and loves rip roaring through the house playing. It broke my heart when she'd try and play with Jazzie and Jazzie would just hide, or role over and expose her belly and shake:( Poor Mags tried everything to get Jazzie to play, even brought toys to Jazzie and laid them in front of her, but even that didn't work:( I've cried so many tears watching Jazzie and how "in a shell" she was. But with every new thing she did (like finally eat a treat or carry a ball, even though she didn't know what to do with it) I've cried tears of joy & have thanked God for helping her along the way. A few days ago, Jazz and Mags started to run around the livingroom together, actually looking like they were having fun:D I was to afraid to move and do anything, I didn't want them to stop. Today, finally, after 2 long months, I'm so happy to report that I got woke up this morning to 2 lil munchkin butts (Mags and Jazzie) running and jumping all over my bed playing their lil hearts out. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect morning. I just laid there in bed and smiled, thanking God for such miracles in my life, and again, for helping Jazzie along the way.... They sure do make my heart smile.... |
What a fantastic way to start your day! |
I Love this story ! What a perfect story it is. |
Yay, such a nice story, I am glad she has settled in well :) |
Wow! Your story made my heart smile! |
aww, that is so sweet... i am happy for those little girls and you too..... |
What a way to start the morning:) Thank you for sharing that wonderful story and I am so thankful that Jazzie is in a home where she feels comfortable and knows she is loved. I think God has blessed you both. |
My Lola was the exact same way after she left the puppy mill and came home to me. I promise, six months from now your Jazzie will be a totally different dog. Having a dog like Maggie in the house is the best thing in the world for her, as Maggie will teach her about the household rules and routine, having fun, and help her gain confidence exploring new situations. You'll see your sweet little Jazzie-flower bloom more with every passing day. It's so wonderful to stand back and watch her real personality emerge. Now, a year and a half later, Lola helps guide and teach all my new fosters when they come home. It's as if she knows and understands. I guess it's her doggie way of paying it forward. I'm so glad you've been blessed with such sweet little girls. Your hard work is paying off. You have an extra special little fur family, and are a extra special lady for taking on a puppy mill rescue. Love and blessings from our house to yours. |
Aw what a great way to start your day! |
