First of all, you are a lot braver than me. I won't take Gracie to places that have big dogs. My other dog was attacked by a dog and I guess it has left me very nervous with Gracie around bigger dogs. People like that guy are sick in the head. They feel threatened by anything that might challenge his idea of what life is about. They are so insecure about themselves that they have to insult anything that is different than the little world that their little minds have created. I'm sure he wanted to frighten you and you little cutie. I'm glad you were not intimidated. |

This person could have mental issues or something, so while I am annoyed with him, I really think it is the stores responsibility to keep it from happening again. LOL if you want to give me the stores number, I can be pretty effective on the phone. |
Seems to me this man has what I like to call, a case of Small Dog Envy. I have had this happen to me and I have retaliated by yelling right back at the person. I feel sorry for your dog that you do not love it enough to make sure it has a coat on in this weather. You should be ashamed of yourself and I should call the aspca on you. They leave me alone after that. If you have never owned a yorkie then you do not know that they need their clothes. Next time this happens to you give them my number, I have a few things I would like to say lol. Please do not ever doubt yourself as a yorkie Mother. I think you are awesome. |
WOW! I can't believe I missed this. I am so sorry he treated you this way. I always wonder what makes people act the way they do. They must have a sad miserable life to be able to treat a complete stranger that way. Hugs for you and Miss KS. We love you! |
Sorry you had this experience...you know the old saying "empty barrels make alot of noise" - well apparently he is just as empty as he can be! Talk about ignorance...in my opinion, he was trying to intimidate you. Good thing you said nothing...never know what kind of nuts there are in this great big world. That petsmart should ban him from the store and call the police for harassment next time he is there. |
A bunch of us should write the corporate office of Petsmart letting them know how we will not be visiting this particular store anymore because a man with a rottie harassed us about or small dogs ;) If there was a regular that did this at my PetSmart here they would never hear the end of it from me! |
It really makes me wonder what this man's Rottweiler is treated like at home.:( Does he get any love at all or is he "just a dog" with food tossed on the floor for him once a day and left in the backyard to watch the house? I know we're not supposed to make assumptions, or stereotype, etc...but the way this man treated the OP reallllllly makes me wonder about his own precious pet.:thumbdown |

That being said, if you wanted to make a dress for your dogs out of maxi pads and diapers and weren't causing discomfort to your dog it's none of his business. |

Um, WOW! Little does he know how well K.S. is treated! I think most of us on here do see our pets as part of the family. I am so sorry for him that he does feel the same way. I sure hope yelling at a complete stranger and her pampered little pooch made big ole grouchy caveman feel better! |
Oh, I think you did great. I don't think I could have held my tongue. He needed to be told, Sir, its your Rottie that needs to be felt sorry for, to have to live with someone like you. People are sickos nowdays. Wonder how that poor dog lives with a little boy in a big bully body. Ugh! |
What an A**hole!!!!!! I cant believe the nerve of some people. Clearly this idiot is in a store that sells oh I dont know.. dog clothes!! dog bows!! and all of the other items that your little sweetie owns. I get so tired of hearing about people who feel they have the right to verbally assault others. I would think that PetSmart would simply ban this tool from the store. Sorry that you had to endure this jerks rant :( |
Thanks guys! And I am going to talk to the manager at Petsmart tomorrow. I told my husband about it and the more I thought about the whole situation, the more frustrated I became. The girl who witnessed the incident is working Saturday. I called the store today to set up a time to speak with him (the manager). He was very friendly...that is how I found out she is working too. He asked me if anyone witnessed the incident and I told him the girls name. I am going to ask him if he cannot address corporate about this and to see if he bothers someone again about calling the police. I just keep thinking that I don't want anyone else to have to hear what I heard. I'll keep you guys posted on how it goes. |
