The brand is Goody.. 2/3 of an inch. I am so glad I read this thread and tried them! Thank you beautiful Rosie ! Yes.. I know.. I guess it's not the top knot that I was growing out but the muzzle.. The hair. Steven the eyes and the nose! |

Ya think...Lol! :D Looks like Mia's head without her top knot. ;) But poor Brody's top knot hair loops into his mouth without a band, and so much breakage, I think because I accidentally ordered latex bands instead of non-latex because there were so many choices and sizes and my clicker-finger got impatient and... Mikki is a little doll baby and such a cute name! I love it ! :) |

It is not so much the top knot..but the hair over her nose and between her eyes. I was so mad when the groomer cut that hair! I also have used the latex bands..but have to put in two or three in a row.. Kinda like a braid. |

Can you buy the tiny scrunchies at Wal Mart? |

At this link you will see latex free bands. I buy them in the 3/8" size because Gracie has very fine hair. They hold her slippery hair very well and I can put a bow in her hair after the grooming bands are in place. For the most part I just use a clip on bow. Once the grooming band is in place you can clip a little bow on and it will stay in place. I have tried the scrunchie but they just did not hold as well as the smaller latex free grooming bands. toplinepet.com They are almost at the bottom of the page of this link. |
The last time a groomer cut Gracie's top knot it took a good 4 months to get it to grow back to where I could keep it out of her eyes. I grow Gracie's top from the break in her nose up though some may just grow from the top of the eye up. You can place the latex free bands closer to the front when the fur is too short for regular top knot placement. I have done two little top knots toward the front just to get the hair out of her face. I give Gracie The Missing Link which is a natural food supplement that is a great boost for skin and coat as well as other nutritional issues. I think Petco sells it now. I sprinkle it on her food and she eats it with no problem and she is quite picky about what she will eat. |
