Sally Jo Breeder Athens Ohio anyone Hear of? Looking for female puppy Sally Jo with Petland of Athens Ohio is said to have nice yorkies. Has anyone had any dealings with her and her yorkies? She came recommended to me. I am looking for a female puppy that should grow to no more than about 5 lbs. My Brandy a male died 2 1/2 years ago Black & gold of this size. he was 14 years old. I am ready to open my heart to a girl. No rush. Thinking about mid to late summer to bring her home. I am in southwest Michigan and will travel to get her. The breeder I was going to use on the last litter the female lost her ability to have any more. I want one with a joyful loving personality traits to come into our loving home. Help please. Thank you. Sharyn.Hill@ymail.com |
I am confused by you post. Are you asking about purchasing a puppy from Petland and the managers name is SallyJo? I did a quick search of Petland Petland 977 E State Street Athens, OH 45701 The store managers name is Sally. Petland sells puppymill dogs. This is a well know fact. If you are considering a new puppy check for the YTCA site for a referral. |
Are you talking about Petland the Pet Store? I think I would start a search on breeders and begin there and take your time. Good luck in your search!!! |
Sharyn i live in the next town over from you, you don't have to go to OH, and DO NOT go near any pet store to purchase, like others said they all come from puppy mills and on top of it they charge a fortune. I am part of a MI yorkie meetup group. There are breeders in our group and I also know most of the show breeders in MI. We are having a meetup this saturday, people will be coming from all different areas there will be puppies and adult dogs you are welcome to ride with me if you like, just send me a PM with your contact info. Thank you for responding to my post. I am a bit awkward working on the Yorkie site so excuse me for not replying to you sooner. Yes i am interested in attending saturday's meeting of area breeders and owners. Am I able to attend as a past owner lover and looking for a new puppy? What time and where is it? Pease let me know I am in Clarkston and can drive to whereever it is. I look forward to hearing back from you. nicehouses@comcast.net Sharyn Hill |

Please keep these things in mind when buying a puppy. Don't buy from a pet store, don't get your yorkie before 12 weeks, make sure the breeder health tests there breeding dogs, make sure you get a health guarantee, make sure they are AKC, make sure you can see where the parents and puppies are living, and make sure they aren't breeding multiple types of dogs or mixes. Good luck finding a pup. |

A quick YT search reveals several threads that mention Tanisha Breton. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sea...archid=5816842 Quote:

Personally I do not feel comfortable putting someone's name on a public forum unless they have asked me to, I also do not think it is polite to put links on here that might look like I am trying to get people to go to another site, so I was not trying to hide anything, just trying to stick to my principles. The meetups I have been to are comprised of a group of people, and while it may have been started by an individual the group is bigger than any one single person. Like in any gathering of people there will be some you agree with and some you don't. You guys apparently have more information than I do but since I am not looking to buy a puppy or breed my dog I did not even think to look up information on members of our group. All I was looking for was an afternoon of fun with other small dogs and their owners. I have gone to three meetups and that's what's they were, fun for Lola and I. Maybe there was stuff behind the scenes that I missed, all I know is that Tanisha or the others never tried to sell me a dog or ask that I help sell their dogs. You don't know me, but I am very outgoing, I love to plan parties and events, some with a charitable twist. I love meeting new people and go out of my way to introduce people to other people if there is shared interest, I have always felt the more the merrier. I also like helping people, at these parties I always bring Hope, an 11 year old girl I have been mentoring for the last two years. So when I saw that there were people in the MI regional section that had voiced an interest in a group gathering I was excited to tell them about the meetups I have been to, nothing more nothing less. But now I am forced to explain myself because with the cryptic one or two line posts on this thread a few of you have managed to make me look like I am hiding something and have ulterior motives which has made me feel like crap. I wanted to get a good night sleep but Instead I wound up sitting at my computer way to late and upset to the point of tears trying to think of the right words to explain myself so people here did not have the wrong impression of me. Now this morning I feel ill from being over tired and what was going to be a fun afternoon is going to be a chore. I like this site and you can see from some of my posts that I have become quite fond of it in short time, but I also see that it only takes a few people with their jabs, assumptions, an accusations to suck the spirit out of you. I am now sorry I found this thread, all I wanted to do was keep someone that lived close to me from going to a pet store in OH to buy a dog and now I am forced to defend myself. I am done posting on the thread because I have no more energy for this issue, so please don't expect a rebuttal . But for the record I want you to know I don't plan on buying another dog, I don't plan on breeding, and I don't plan on promoting breeders, pet stores and of course not puppy mills. But if I was planning on buying another dog or helping someone it would not be a micro mini nor I will ever again fork over $1,500+ to a show or specialty breeder - been there and done that 3x's. I think what I would do is tell them to first see if they could find a dog in a shelter that met their needs. |

Donna, initially I was going to post to Sharyn that your yorkie meet-up would be a nice way to meet other yorkie owners, reputable breeders and possibly she could find a puppy within the group. Until Tanisha's name got brought up, I was supportive of your idea. I can understand you may not have known Tanisha's history on this forum or the type of breeder she is. Now that you do know, surely you can understand our apprehension of anyone that would join YT and suggest a meet-up involving Tanisha? |

Be nice to other VT posters...hey I'm new here Whoah! to some of these members and their comments relative to my post which yielded me a nice invitation to an party involving yorkies was just that a nice invitation to an event with people with a common interest that being love of these little creatures. i am new to YT. i do hope that this site is not to slam other members but instead one that politely stated replies are welcomed and encouraged. May we be a sweet to each other as our dogs. After all dog spelled backward is god. meaning that they are a gift from him with all his goodness. May we reflect a good and kind spirit as well to all of the other yorkie owners and lovers of them. I just started out on this site with the baby step of seeking a new puppy in the next 6 months or so. that is all I want to do is find a healthy spirited puppy. I'm not being political here and i do not want those who might give me their advice to be slammed for doing so. i apologize to Donna for what all have slammed her with. I feel she was only offering friendship and knowledge of what she knew. that is how I received it. Please consider being kind to all everyone out there. Thanks for all the tips. |
