Hang in there sweetie! Katie Scarlett will be great! I just said another prayer for her! Your card is beyond beautiful! |
Hey y'all! Checking in! Sorry to take a bit to get back to you. The hubby and I went out for a small lunch to take my mind off of things. When we got back the vet called us to let us know that Katie Scarlett had done just fine with the surgery. I just picked her up a bit ago. Poor little angel! She looks so sad. I know she must be groggy and out of it. Mommy just wants to hold her all night. I held her in her special blanket for a bit and then she crawled to her favorite spot on the couch and fell asleep. I am letting her rest now. I will make sure she is comfortable as can be for the rest of the day and for the night. They said she probably would not eat any today, but I did lay out her food just in case. I have her some fresh cool water laid out too. I have her favorite blanket laid over her so she can stay nice and toasty. I have the den really warm too. I hope she can rest good. I'll be pretty alert the rest of the day and most of the night I imagine. My husband has to work so we are going to stay in the den tonight. Her potty training puppy apartment thingie is in the den. That way she has her bed right next to where she can potty. I am going to sleep in the floor on an air mattress next to her. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and advice! I really appreciate it!!! And thank you for complimenting my work! That means the world to me! I'll keep y'all updated on her progress! teacup0819...I do use some Stampin' Up stuff. I have a few of their inks and some of their stamps. I really like them! Great quality!!! |
Thanks for the update! I hope she has a restful night. Did the vet give you pain meds for her? If not, I would call them and get some! |
Holy wow you are talented! I just used Mixbook to make my parents a scrapbook of the kiddos! Hope all is well. |
Glad she's doing well! I always try to tell owners with groggy dogs to wake them up every 30-45 minutes, and make sure they are coming out of the anesthesia. She'll probably have to pee and get a drink in a couple of hours. Keep her warm but keep checking that she's not too warm. Petting and body rubs help the circulation, which helps the body to get rid of the anesthesia. When I worked at the vet ER, we closely watched all the pets that had surgery that day until they were up and about, then they were put in a cage in the ICU and monitored till they could stand and eat and drink on their own. Then they were allowed to go to sleep for the night. |
YAY! So Glad to hear that Katie Scarlett is back home. Sending good vibes for a speedy recovery!! :) |

So glad she's doing well. Keep her cozy Mommy!!!! |
Awww, sounds like she's all set:) Thanks for the update, glad to hear that your little one is home and resting comfortably:love: Now the challenge will be to keep her relatively quiet (no running too hard, jumping, etc.) for the next little while. That was the hardest part for my girls, they acted like nothing happened the next day:eek: It was a challenge to keep them from being too rambunctious, so I had to use the ex-pen again:p |
So glad to hear KS is well and home w her mommy! :) |
So glad that KS did good with her spay and that she is now home. I know she will be waited on like the Princess that she is. I hope she has a good night. |
