Wow! I think she has gotten the picture! I feel bad when a person comes on here and is so happy about their baby and get told over and over again that the baby is too young, the breeder is bad and on and on. I think she now realizes it is not ideal to get a puppy at 8 weeks but how many of us have. I know 3 of mine were. One had health issues, 2 didn't. I also got a 5 month old from a show breeder who died 5 weeks later due to congenital kidney failure that neither the breeder or I could foresee. I still think anytime you take on a pet their is a risk for health issues and more so for small breeds. That doesn't mean only the very rich should own one. As long as one is prepared thats all you can do. Now she knows she has to be extra cautious and what to watch for and plan for. It sounds like she has a good support system in place, bought insurance and learned a lot on YT. I don't want to lose another person who could continue to learn a lot as she raises her baby. I hope Roxy has a long and healthy life with you. | THANK YOU!:thumbup::thumbup: It's one thing to give advice on these things, but another matter to for everyone to pile on. I think she gets what she's got to watch out for and what challenges she faces. Enough:laugh:!!!
Roxy's New Mom, you have gotten some very good advice here and I know you'll be a great Mommy. Please keep in mind that we are all here if you have any questions, and can't wait to see your baby:) Congratulations, and I'm sure that the next few days will feel very long to you:laugh: Make sure you pick up a tube of Nutracal, just in case, and if you need to use it, make sure to follow it up with some food so that her blood sugar will balance out. The Nutracal will stimulate her appetite but if it's not followed up with food, her sugar can drop again even worse.
Good luck and please stick around. Everyone here cares very much and sometimes get carried away a little, but believe me when I tell you that their hearts are good:love: |
