I'm very anxious to see what happens. When they picked up the lifeless Armani, did someone get him medical treatment? Did they just consider him a surrender without asking his owners? I'm so confused. Can't wait to hear what happens today. |
Wow what an unbelievable story! Please keep us posted and good luck! I hope everything works out for you and you are reunited with your furbaby!:D |
What a story! I can't imagine the shock (& joy) you must be feeling. I'm curious as to why it was the animal control officer who called you. Doesn't the microchip company or whatever chip service you're registered with normally make those calls? I didn't realize they would hand out owner's personal contact information instead of making the call themselves. I pray that this is your baby and that you can him back in your arms soon! Bonny |
wow that is strange cant wait to hear what happens i am praying that it is your armani |
Wow this is a crazy story and I'm praying and hoping the best for you today. Keep us updated! |
Wow this is really strange. I guess I just don't understand. I know if this was my baby, there would have been no way in heck I woud have let AC take my baby, dead or not. I would have taken my baby to the Vet and let them make the arrangements for him. I do pray that this is your baby, BUT I would most certainly want an explanation. Can't wait to read updates. |
This is unbelievable. If this is really Armani and not a mistake in reading the number, somebody has got to be accountable. I hope and pray it is Armani and your pain over his loss is over and he is back in his loving home again. |
If this turns out to be Armani, then I really do believe in miracles!! In reading your post last year when he was attacked, is it possible that it was another yorkie that was attacked, and your Armani was on the run for a year? I know you said you saw his body and said goodbye, but trauma and shock can definitely interfere with perception...what I'm trying to say is, it would be possible that it wasn't your Armani. Praying to hear a happy ending. |
WOW!!! What a phone call to receive!:D:(:D:confused: The effort it would take to wrap your head around that little piece of info...wow! I do totally believe in miracles...I count on them, in fact...and that they, and 'bizarre' sequences of events, occur more often than we probably realize. I do hope that your baby survived the attack, and was nursed back to health, and due to some equally strange sequence of events, clerical error, staff rotation, etc., you were not notified...although you most definitely should have been. I also hope that this IS your baby, and if this is truly your Armani, the description sounds like he has been loved and taken care of at least somewhat decently during his time away from you. I agree with the others...be cautious and take friends with you. If it really is your Armani, having someone drive you would free your arms for all the hugging! Good luck! Waiting with great anticipation to hear more...:) |
I can't wait to hear some news! I hope and pray this is your Armani! I do believe in miracles and hope this one is your miracle! |
I have had dreams that seemed so real, of my dogs that passed away, coming back to me, and still being alive. I know how excited you must feel. Still praying hard that this is your Armani!!! |
I am hoping and praying for you that this is your Armani. I would be waiting at the door when they open that place, even if is not open to the public at that time! I so hope that this is your baby! |
OMG, what an AMAZING thing to have happen!!! Ohhhh, I gotta go read through the rest of this thread to see if you picked him up yet and how he's doing. God is so good. I'm so happy your lil one was found and he's healthy! Miracles happen everyday!! |
It could have been an innocent mistake... how many pets are injured and the owners opt to turn them over to Animal Control to be PTS? Maybe the driver picked up many dogs that night and didn't fill out the paperwork till he got back and got confused and put the wrong info down? Then again, an AC worker may have stolen him. We had a rash of similar thefts a few years ago involving dishonest AC Officers.... |
This is like torture waiting to hear!! Prayers that it is Armani!! |

Ohhhh, no update yet. Oh the anticipation!! I can't wait to hear an update if this is really your Armani. Praying for you that this is him, I can only imagine the feeling you'll have to have him back in your arms. I'd be falling on my knees thanking God so much if we were to be giving our Isaiah back. |

This isn't surprising to me, but for your sake and your Armani's...I hope it is him. I've heard of this happening twice, actually. Once in Arizona when we lived there, and again in Oklahoma. The case in Arizona was of a German Shepherd that had been hit by a truck. He was pronounced dead by the Animal Control officer that arrived on the scene. They were called by the owner, because the woman couldn't emotionally handle it. Upon arrival they said their apologies and told the woman her dog had passed away. One year later Harley (the dog) showed up AT the woman's house. If I remember correctly, there was a legal battle about who rightfully owned Harley, the former owner or the new family that adopted him (from which he ran away and back to his original owner). In Oklahoma, it was a case of euthanization, so a bit different. However, the dog was declared dead using a stethoscope and exam after he was euthanized with five other puppies. They were placed in a dumpster after the procedure. Someone went out to dump something the next morning, and discovered that one of the puppies was alive, wagging it's tail, and happy. I think they named the dog Wall-E. It probably happens more often than we realize because shelters and animal control are hesitant to report it; they don't want to appear incompetent. I really hope and pray this is your dog, Armani, and that it was all a case of mispronouncing his passing. ...definitely keeping an eye on this thread, and praying for good news. |
Wow that is strange and I hope you get your miracle! Maybe the AC person wanted him for their own and told you he was dead? And then he got loose? I don't know, but wow what a weird phone call to receive. PLEASE be very careful and hurry back with an update:) |
Just read through this thread - unbelievable - what a story...... Please, please, please let it be little Armani :xfingers::hands: Sally + Harry x |
i cant wait to hear |
wow God works in mysterious ways ,he can move mountains to do what he wants done. Ive seen this. Hope this is truly your miracle! |
It would absolutely amazingly awesome if you could have your Valentine's Day back the way it should have been from the start. ...aaghh I can hardly stand the waiting. I can't even fathom how the OP must feel. |
Oh my goodness!! I hope it is a miracle! I am on pins and needles over here waiting for the OP to find out! |
I hope this is your Armani!! That would be wonderful. Also, like others have said, take someone with you-not only for safety reasons but also emotional support too. Good luck and let us know what happens. |
I am hoping and praying this is your miracle come true. Im on pins and needles waiting to hear something |
wow I read threw the story. I hope its your baby boy. That would certainly be a miracle. Waiting on pins and needles for an update.. LOL |
Just last month, right before Christmas, there was a yorkie mix that the owner considered dead after being hit by a car in Yelm, Washington. The owner took him and placed him under a wheelbarrow for the night so animals wouldn't get to him until he could be buried. The next morning the dog was sitting up very much alive. Yes, I believe in miracles and am praying for one here. |
Im sitting on pins and needles waiting to hear! |
