What commands/tricks can your yorkie do?! I've been working on teaching Sophia commands and tricks. She can sit, stay, lay down, come, handshake, "human" (where she stands on her hind legs), and of course smooch! I've been trying to teach her to play dead, but I'm going to give that one a break for now! So, I want some ideas of what I can teach her next. What have you taught your yorkie to do?!? |
Here is most of Jacksons! I love trick training but actually haven't been doing it as much in the past few months. But this video is from April last year. |
Callie can shake with right or left front paw, high five with either right or left front paw, lay, sit, crawl, go to bed when told (not go to sleep but go to her bed) she can jump through a hoola hoop, and she will kiss on command too and I love doing that to my mom when shes holding her I will go Callie kiss and she will kiss her lol. I am gonna do more training with her after shes all healed up and outa the pen :) |
Jackson is so smart!!!!!!! I love when he took off the socks! And I want Sophia to jump through a hula hoop like Callie! That's so cute! |
Mine all do a verity of tricks or commands like: (come, down, sit, stay, bed, cage, kiss, roll over, shake, high five, leave it, fetch) It was not an easy task, it takes time and patience just like any other training you do. |
Both of my babies know: sit, stay, come, leave it, up (stand up on hind legs), jump, speak, quiet, lay, roll over... My bichon knows how to beg, go to your room, get in the cage, cover your eyes, pick it up, knock (everyone loves it when I tell her she has to knock before she comes in lol), shake, and spin... Max doesn't know these yet, but I'm working on it. |
Harley has: Sit, down, come, ici (which means run and jump up my leg into my arms), stay, free (our release command), chase (chase the pigeons... trying reverse psychology on him), jump (hoops, jumps, spreads), tunnel, nose touch (for contacts in agility), drop it, crawl we're working on playing soccer on command, having 3 bowls and hiding a toy under one and having him find it, and weaves. |
Joey took the PetSmart trick training class, and learned to shake, laydown, roll over, play dead, back up, crawl, (which is the funniest thing ever), high five, spin, jump through a hula hoop, beg, bow, and ring a desk top bell. He already knew "kiss"! :D This site has lots of the same tricks and teaches you basically the same way. Dog Tricks! Shake, Crawl, Beg, Wave, Kiss, Roll Over, Take a Bow, and more! |
Bailey knows -come -shake -double highs: two high fives -high five -paw -sit -stay -stay down(downstairs) -go kennel -i wuv you: she barks it -fetch -kissy - she can jump through a hoop -go sleep -play soccer -go get it -whats one plus one -up -down -lay -play dead -circle -Say a prayer -get on my back -weave A few more that I can't remember...She was SO easy to train. They are SO SO smart! But can be defient. GOOD LUCK! |
Hi everyones!!I'm a new member in this forum and this is my first message! Mimě is just 4 month and she can sit,lay down, stay, give me a hand, give me five, come, leave it and nothing more, but we are working to some new tricks like "dead" and "roll over". We really like doing triks!! (Sorry for my bad English but I'm Italian) |
p.s.:Jackson is fantistic!!! |
I love Jackson!, my favorite is when he hops holding one foot up.. Sonic can sit, shake hands, high five, wave*paw*, play dead, ring the bell, fetch *self taught* crawl, get a toy out of his box when asked, smile *has a funny way of smiling* bow down. so far. |

Sit & Lie Down... lol Well I just got Sassy! :P |
Princess knows sit, wait, treat, potty, harness (go get it & act like a spaz:p), down, shake & "other paw", show me (if she's asking for something), go get Jazz (dd), catch it, get it, kisses, rub you belly, patio, outside, grandma's (& recently learned 'papa's' since we don't use gma anymore:rolleyes:), mommy fix you hair & ockey (basically 'leave it), go get your ball & go get your toy (trying to teach colors of her balls...). She also recognizes the word bath which means quietly & quickly hide. I want to teach her more fun stuff. Time is tight but she loves training when we can. |
Brits' Jackson is just amazing. So far at 7 months we got down the follwing down very good: sit, down, walking on a leash and leave it. The following are at 70%: shake, high five and boxing(dh). What we need to work on terribly is: COME - ugh! But overall potty training was completed months ago with no accidents, so overall I am happy. |
I am a really bad trick teacher, and my boys are in love with "sit" because it gets them everything they want. :p How can you say no when your pup performs a nice sit? We did manage: gimme a kiss touch nose (nose to my finger) shake hands (Max does the daintiest handshake ever) down up come (the command words "cheese" or "chicken" work best for this ;)) stay We have been working on spin for over a year and they both spin on their rear ends in the sit position, lol. |

I missed this thread before, so I'll to it now. Jack knows: -sit -stay -wait -down -come -bring it -drop it -circles -left paw (shake) -right paw (shake) -shake it off - after his bath I tell him to shake it off and he shakes - water flies everywhere lol -roll over -play dead -sit pretty -walk on two legs - still working on this - he more or less hops -gimme kiss - too funny he will touch my cheek really quick (reminds me of the lab rats that touch the button for food) so I have to tell him "gimme a good kiss" then I get a real kiss - crawl - hubby is just now teaching him this - he cracks me up because he "crawls" but sticks his little butt in the air. I should try to get a video of it. |
All of my babies can do some tricks but Scooter does the most because he was little when I got him so he was easier to train and he is just so smart. Scooter--Sit., Lay down , leave it, crawl, roll over and back over, dance, jump, give paw, sit pretty. Sadie---Sit, down, leave it , give paw and sit pretty. Little Bit---Sit, give paw, sit pretty and if you say bang to him he lays down like he is dead. Thor---Sit, sit pretty, give paw and dance. It is hard trying to teach new tricks with so many of them. |
when i go to give him a treat i started off saying sneeze and I would act like im sneezing to show him lol then he would sneeze now i say bless you, and he sneezes lol.. Oh and im trying to get him to stick out his tonque ill say show me your tongue at times he would barely stick it out just far enough so i can see it,and he does it so fast, it's funny he is still working on that.. Oh when he plays dead, he lays on his back and wiggle im like sonic dead dogs don't wiggle! lol I bet that is cute crawling with his butt in the air lol. sonic is getting to where he stands on his back legs but not for very long. |
this link isn't working for me and I'd love to see it! can you pm me the website? Thanks! Quote:

Wow, Charlie only knows sit. I've had him since December. Working on lay down, but he isn't understanding it. Did you all teach these on your own or go to training classes? I have endless amounts of time to train, but we are struggling! |
When I first started teaching Scooter it was just him and Sadie and he was very easy to train with treats, now that the rest of them are here it is more difficult. I did forgrt to mention that Little Bit also plays fetch and Scooter plays soccer : ) |

Honestly, I kind of just winged it. I did not know what I was doing at first. But then I discovered YouTube! I really like the following channels - kikopup, zakgeorge21, tab289, pamelamarxsen and a few others. They have wonderful tutorials. :) |
I taught sonic, im going to have to check out those channels on you tube |
