Today is Ziggy's Neuter and Dental
 
Ziggy is getting neutered and his dental today. I can't wait for it to be over. I have been staying busy with errands all morning. I miss him! I can't wait to have him home, and I'm praying for a speedy recovery! :)

The time does go by slowly . . .I'm sure everything will go well and you'll be having him in your arms again in no time! :D

After I left the vets office I broke down. It reminded me of leaving Rusty there in September, not knowing if he'd make it. I had a good cry, then got my act together and started shopping. Now I'm trying to kill time at home. :coffee_n_

lol I'm going to be the same way!!! Let me know how it goes. Geno goes January 13th and I'm a nervous wreck already. Not sure what to expect when he gets home from it. Are they supposed to be groggy the rest of the day or do you think they'll bounce back later in the day?

It's over! He did great!
 
Just got off the phone with the vet's office. Ziggy did great and it is over! He's in recovery and I can get him anytime after 2:30! I will be there at 2:29 waiting! :)

I'm not sure but I'll be asking tons of questions and I'll let you know when we get home.

Bear get's his neuter on the 23rd and I'll be going nuts again!

Yay! So glad everything went well! Is Bear neutuered or will he have to go soon as well?

Glad to hear Ziggy is doing well. When we took Belle in to get spayed, I used my time shopping for some get well soon presents. :)

Beemer was groggy and whiney when we brought him home. I felt so bad! But when he woke up the next morning he was his old self again!

LOL I did the same thing! I hit Petco, Target and Wal Mart! He's spoiled for sure.

I'm wondering if Ziggy will be groggy too since he also had the dental? I just hope he's not in pain.

Great news that Ziggy is over with his surgery and dental!! Bogie was sleepy and groggy the first night home...after that it was torture keeping him from running and jumping:eek: I know how stressful it is until you hear the word that they are out of surgery and doing good. Shopping is a good way to kill the time:D

Did you have to feed him soft food after the dental? I'm just wondering if he'll be able to eat or not.

Did Ziggy have to have any extractions? Neither of mine have had any extractions and were able to eat their normal dry kibble. The vets should advice you on what to feed Ziggy.
I know you can't wait to get him in your arms:)

He had one baby tooth extracted. I can't wait to get him!

Glad to hear that everything went fine...hopefully you will be picking him up really soon. I love to shop to pass time when I'm nervous/upset....what do they call that - retail therapy??

Will be taking Jake in for his neutering in 3 months and am crying already:(

Ziggy is home and resting in his bed. He ended up having two baby teeth extracted. I guess one on the bottom was broken off and I didn't even know it. He was ready to eat as soon as we walked into the kitchen, which I think is a good sign. :) The vet tech said that he may not want to eat until tomorrow evening. They put him on Clavamox because of the dental. he actually hasn't slept as much as I thought he might.

Thanks for all of the support! I am so glad it's over. Ella gets spayed on the 12th and Bear gets neutered on the 23rd. Hopefully this will be the last of my vet visits for the year!

Oh it's such torture for us, isn't it? Jackson just had his dental in Nov - it's so awesome once it's over. Glad Ziggy is doing well. :)

It is! I feel sorry for my poor husband too. He had to listen to me on the phone after I dropped Ziggy off.

Awwww, happy to hear ziggy is doing well after his surgery and dental...and happy to know there are others that go as crazy as me! Lexi goes in for dental next Tuesday, and I am a crazy girl already! Thought of a million reasons why we should wait...LOL I just wish there were another way to get their teeth cleaned without putting them under...always a worry! Give Ziggy hugs...

Thank you. I know what you mean. I have two more to go (Ella and Bear)and then I'll feel better. Ziggy was actually trying to roll in the snow tonight when I took him outside! I went back and forth about the dental but since Ziggy's 3 yrs old and was already going to be under, I figured I might as well do it. I am going to try to be consistant with the daily brushings so we can avoid dentals for awhile I hope.

Good luck with Lexi. I'm sure she'll do just fine. :) :hug:Hugs to Lexi!

I see Ziggy has been through the mill while I've been at work today.:p

I'm so glad he did fine and is home with mommie.:)
