I just sent him the post on watning signs so that he will know that. I dont know if there is a vet around her or where that is. 24/7 I will have him find out one. Thanks for the info I need all that I can get. I am going to be home 6 before the due date. So know that I will have time to spend with her. Quote:

good news Yes..that is good news. Sometimes you have to take it AM and PM to get an accurate reading. If you ever need another opinion, please call me..day or even in the middle of the night, believe me I am used to it. Sometimes we just need another breeders "uninvolved" input..a clear head..I know I sure have needed to hear a few sane words at times like this..good luck |

Too Soon Sometimes the temp can go up and down...Usually down at night and up again in the morning. Nonetheless, you need to watch her, as Pat said, for signs. With a fever it's just the opposite...up at night and down in the day due to sleeping patterns and the tranquilness of the body @ night. I have a miniature schnauzer who's temperature drops to 99.7 to 99.9 about a week before she delivers, but don't take it for granted that this is happening in your case. Watch her very carefully and make sure she's eating and not in any distress and make sure she's not jumping around. Not trying to scare you, but I have a friend who raises maltese and one of her females went into labor and delivered two puppies (they died), stopped contractions, and had the other 6 a week later (the last 6 puppies were fine). There were just too many in there. And my friend only breeds her dogs one time, instead of three times like most of us do. Anyway, all I'm saying...continue to watch her because the pups need to stay in as long as possible and consult with your vet...Hope this is helpful... |
I posted that to my husband, so that he can see what you said. He is home with her right now, beacuse I am in TX and they are in NC. So I m so sad that I can't be with my baby and make sure that things are fine. I did not know that they can stop her from if she should go into labor, that is new to me. Guess you would think that they can stop a person why can't they stop a dog. Thanks for that info. I am wanting the puppies to stay as long as they can, not sure if they will stay alive if they come out this week. She is not due tell the 8, 9, and 10. But thanks for the info, Helps me stay hopeful, Courtney Quote:
