Just read the post on facebook via my phone since I cannot look at him at work...oh my gosh, he is so cute!!! Someone responded to that pic like 50 minutes ago asking how much they would take and they have a friend that is intrerested - Kathy Ball? Hopefully she doesn't get all greedy even though she offered him to you. I'd get him ASAP!

I have been following this thread since about the third post last night, holding my breath and praying and hoping, and I am sooooo happy for you all but especially for the puppy. He deserves no less! God bless you all!

I am definitely one of those members that would never have that thought enter my mind...but you are right not everyone is that way. I agree that a puppy isn't the best idea with a newborn and an older dog might do better. With respect to that subject, my fiance and I are getting married in September. Teddy actually just turned a year old and we are getting our second in a few weeks...a little girl (not sure if you saw my thread). We want him to have a friend to play with so down the road when we do have children Teddy will always have his buddy around to play with him when we can't. I have always thought ahead about this kind of stuff - I think it will be great for him! Plus by the time we do have children they will be trained and hopefully best buddies!

I think it will be more important than ever for you to get obediance training for your dogs. Dogs that will go lay down and stay when you tell them to and who know exactly that all humans are boss. These aren't easy to teach correctly, if you don't have training and so many humans resort to physical punishment when they get frustrated, and this just makes the dog scared and more aggressive. Seriously, I think a well behaved dog is so much happier than an out of control dog, and if you learn the basics of training, you can use it on your kids too! :D

I've been following this thread and the suspense was killing me!. So glad to hear such a happy ending and this pup couldn't have ended up in a better home. It's so nice to see YT band together like this, you guys are an amazing bunch.. Please post pics

Well i've been following along too. How wonderful In terms of the name, why not wait and see what he's like, maybe Bear suits him to a Tee.

I agree. I always call my Rusty "Rusty Bear" so it may be hard but fitting. I think this little guy is being sent to me for a reason. :)

Congrats!!! :D Michelle is an angle!!! If you want to change his name, start calling him the new name + Bear, then drop the Bear over time. :)

Great idea Nancy!! I am definitely going to look into it once we get her! I appreciate the advice! And yes, it makes sense for us down the road when we have kiddos. I appreciate it!
