Just saw this thread, Michelle! I have my fingers crossed that you can get this baby and keep him until he finds his forever home. I can't imagine listing a pup for sale at a garage sale. :(

The girl who answered the phone didn't know even if they still had him. She had to ask. When I started asking questions I heard another lady in the background giving her info. I think she said he was found as a stray.

Oh I know but sophieandziggy and I were talking yesterday and she called the animal shelter about the dog on petfinder and they said he wasn't good with other dogs but on petfinder it says he is. We were talking about that dog not the one in the OP.

Yeah I agree, I think dogs are very adaptable, and while a new puppy isn't a good idea, an older dog would learn to adjust. I'm just wondering if somehow we on Yorkietalk might do more to educate, like a thread about "Things to think about before buying a dog!" I mean if there's a chance in hell, you would think about rehoming a dog because you had a baby, you shouldn't consider getting a dog. I think about some of the members here, and I know that would never enter their minds, so it's never really suggested to newbies who are inquiring about the purchase of a dog, and wondering if a Yorkie is a good match.

She also said she has no vet records but that previous owners told her he was up to date on shots...so she hasn't had him vetted since she bought him a month ago:(

She just texted me back that he is a big baby and wants to be right on her lap all the time if she would let him...duh he is a yorkie...I texted her back that most yorkies are that way, they love attention and a very attached to their humans. All that poor baby wants is love and attention...I am going to cry...she still hasn't said if she will let me have him though and I offered vet references and told her I was used to yorkies..of course she probably doesn't care about all of that.

I would tell her that you can give him a home where he will be treated like he should be and loved and cared for.

I read this last night in my news feed on FB and popped on here to see what was going on. Michelle~I hope you are able to get this little guy. He's just adorable and deserves so much more than he has had do far in his short life. :(

Let me add that my Bogey was #3 for me and Tom was shocked when he came home from work and there was another dog running around in our yard. At first I let him think it was Doodlebug but that didn't last long :eek:

Whatever this girl tells you go with about 10% truth~sadly that is about what you can take away from a situation like this~ :(

BTW~I checked my "Other" box and had MSGs all the way back to 2009! LOL

I'd also remind her it's going to cost $$ to have the pup checked out & the fact there won't be any kind of health guarantee.

I really really hope it works out for you Michelle...sounds like this woman is the epitomy of "greeder". :(
