So sad for my niece
 
Please say a prayer for my niece. Someone left the gate open to her backyard, she did not know and let her dogs out, ( Corgi and mixed breed ) The mixed breeds name is Rocky. Well she went looking for the dogs and found Rocky dead on the road. She was so upset she went back to the house and got her husband and he carried Rocky all the way home. He had blood all over him and he just sat there holding Rocky's tags and crying. The other dog made it back home safe, thank God. I just feel so bad for her because I know what she is going through.

OMG... that is so sad... I would pray for her and her family... That is so hard... it broke my heart reading it... I read it twice once to my hubby he says sorry for your loss... if their's a place to get prays this is the place, My new found friend are pray for my Brandy to get better so I'm sure their will be lots of thought and prays to your niece.. That's just horrible. I will say a prayer for sure.

I'm always fearful of the gate being left open at our house. I have trained myself to ALWAYS look at the gate first the moment we go outside (can't see it from inside the house), but for a while I didn't really think about it. I can well imagine how devastated they must be feeling.

How heartbreaking!

Last year, we had a local family that had just moved to the area after buying a house lose their yorkie through an open gate. They were having the furnace repaired and with the workmen going in & out their yorkie got out and was never found.

We try to be so diligent about caring for our pups and a one off thing like this happens and they are gone. So sad.

So very tragic and I am so sorry for your niece and family. I can't imagine finding one's dog dead along the road and the poor girl and her hubby have to be so heartbroken. Gosh I feel bad for them. I'll say a prayer for God to comfort them.

Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. This is very hard on them. They feel guilty, like it is all their fault and I tolf my niece it is no ones fault, accidents happen. I remember when I lost Sophie Lynn, I blamed myself and sometimes when I get to thinking about her and missing her I still do but I know in my heart there is no one to blame. Thank you all again.

So sad. I feel for them and will pray for them also. This is why I don't let DH or DS let our dogs out, just me. They will let them out the front door (we live in the country, but there is still traffic occasionally). We have a fenced in backyard! Makes no sense to put them out the front. Grr.
