| New Yorkie, cute story So we had a Sheppard for 13 years, than a poodle for 12 years. He passed 2 years ago. We said no more pets. One night my daughter was on the way out to her car and found 2 Yorkies running around, one ran away, she was able to pick up the other one. There was no one in sight anywhere, she waited a while but nobody. She brought him in the house. He was well groomed, but no collar. He was playful, licked us like crazy. We realized what a great personality. We out him in our hallway with some water and a blanket. Figured we would put posters up in the Morning. 3 hours later about midnight I saw a car going down the street with a flashlight. Buy the time I got dressed he was gone. So I got dressed and rode around, a few blocks away I located the car with the light and asked if he was looking for a dog, Oh yeah, so he followed me home to re-unite with one of his twins. The other one made it home across a big wide street where the cars go pretty fast (lucky) He thanked me and I think he lives on the next block but have not seen him since. After that night my daughter decided with our help to find a breeder, you know the rest.... Hope these yorkies don't run away if they get loose. |

| Cute story. They won't run away if you don't allow them to dart out the door and keep a harness and leash on them when not in a fenced yard. Not entirely foolproof, but it will increase you chances of not having a runaway immensely! Good Luck, and Welcome to YT!

| These little dogs have away of stealing your hearts very quickly. I trained Buster never to go out the door first always after me. That said I am always careful because you never know when a scent or sound might make them react. I hope you find a wonderful Yorkie for your daughter! Welcome to YT.
