How much does your bby weight Hi every one I'm a new mommy to a beautiful bby girl tiny she will be 1 yr old in dec I was wondering what is the average size or weight of a yorkie..?:p |
Well my "little" boy is 16lbs. :) LOL. He kept growing... and growing... and growing. :) Standard according to AKC is 7lbs and less. |
I got a Yorkiepoo and he weighs 13lbs. My last purebred Yorkie was 14.5lbs. I've never had a super teeny Yorkie. To me, the bigger the Yorkie, the more there is to love! :) |

Pluto is a whopping 1.14 pounds [but he's only 12+ weeks old]. |
My Little Lilo is 1.1 pound at 4 1/2 months old and growing I had a 7 pound yorkie when I was younger and my friend has a 10. Pound yorkie named Benny. All are full yorkie. The standard is 6-7 but they come in all shapes and sizes |

I would say that is going to be her adult weight as she is only a 'puppy' for one more month. |

My little Ahi just weighed in at 3lbs. 3.4oz. :) She is about 6 1/2 months old. I think she won't get much bigger...but we keep hoping! lol :D |
Choppa is 7 months and I think he is a little less than 5 pounds. His dad was 3 pounds and his mom 5 pounds. I think he is perfect but of course I'm biased. I like him at his size but worry about him alot more than my 15 pound s**tzu Maltese mix |
I was hoping for her to at least get to 4 pounds I do have to watch her 24/7 just to mAke sure she don't get hurt or hurt her self I keep a bell on her collar just to be on the safe side I just got her about 2 months ago yes my 1st yorkie vet said she's healthy .... |
Kiko is a year and a half and weighs about 10.5 lbs. |

Katie Scarlett is 4 months and weighed in at 3.2 pounds at the vet last week. She is a little chubby looking here lately, but I think it's because her fur is so fluffy. When we give her a bath, you can tell how little she is. I wonder too how big she will get. But no matter, we love her just the way she is. Her Mom is 4.5 pounds and her Dad is 4 pounds. My Tara is 2 1/2 years old and only weighs 3 1/4 pounds. She is just a smaller yorkie. My Trey is 4 pounds. But my other girl is just over 6 pounds. Yorkies do come in all sizes based on their genetics. I had one yorkie s long time ago that was only 2 1/4 pounds and healthy and fiesty as ever. The standard states that they do not exceed 7 pounds. Of course there are some as we heard that do go over that limit. And and females that are small are too small for breeding. I added this in for others that may be reading and not know. There may be some that are small due to health issues, bur some are small due to genetics. As long as your baby has passed vet check and testing I would not worry. Usually by 2 to 2 1/2 years old they are full grown. Your girl may get to 4 pounds, since she is just one. But that is something you will just have to wait and see. |
Sophie Kate is 3 years old and she is a sturdy 8 lbs. |
Tink is 3 months old and weighs 3lbs. Her mom weighs 4.5-5lbs and her dad is between 6-7lbs. I'm expecting her to be closer to her dad's weight. |
I just went back and looked at Sophie Kates first Vet visit with me, she was approx 16 weeks old (4 month kind of, sort of) and she weight 3.3 lbs. |

Mojo is just over a year and he weighs about 5.5lbs. Maci is about 8 months and weighs around 3lbs, 4oz. Mojo is a fantastic size and I wouldn't have him any other way. I call Maci my little bitty pretty one, but we hope she continues to grow! (For now we just keep a bell on her collar :rolleyes:) |
they all sound perfect & quite a range. my oliver is 6-7 lbs he was 2yrs in oct. im jealous because i can never get an accurate weight, not that it matters i would luv him at any weight. i like his weight though he is fragile, but fairly sturdy for a yorkie.:) |
Riley weighed in at ExactLy 6 pounds when he got neutered at exactly 6-months old. He's 1 1/2 years old now and weighs in at about 8 pounds. He is the Perfect size. Still small enough to take everywhere but bit enough for me to feel a little more comfortable with all of the BIG Dogs we run into, on our walks, here in the city. :) |
Couver is 3 years old and weighs 7 pounds. Khloe weighed 3 pounds at 8 months but is now 5 pounds at 1 year and 9 months, so you never know when they are done growing! |
