This is terrible! :( My friend told me this morning she was listening to new york radio station 92.3 and apparently as a "prank" they tied 50 balloons to a 4 pound dog this morning and it floated away....apparently the dog is STILL floating. :( This is animal cruelty at its finest and this radio station better be charged! They are calling it a "prank that went too far". So awful...I am in tears for this poor dog. What a terrible human to do this. Here is the story straight from the website. Apparently the girl who owns the dog works at the radio station. Shame on them! That poor dog I sure is tramatized and scared for his life. I am sick to my stomache over this! |
I didn't read the link but if they find the dog alive, I hope they take it away from the owner after charges and find it a real home. If they don't find it, hope they charge her with animal cruelty. |

I was reading the comments on the link and it was posted that the same radio station did this to a cat in 2009 but it turned out to be a total joke/publicity stunt, there was no cat, I am hoping this is the case again, because it really is sick and abusive if this really happened, Nick Cannon said on his twitter " People are acting like i'm Michael Vick, I apologized now get over it" I think he will lose a lot of fans with this attitude! |
I can only hope that this is a prank. It is too sick and disgusting to think that anyone could be so mean to an animal and put it in harm's way like that. |
Wow, that's insane. If it's true, helium balloons explode at a height of about 28,000 - 30,000 ft and the dog will fall to its death. The website just seems to lax about it so I'm hoping it's a joke. So sad... |

I think/hope it’s a joke. A sick, sick joke in very poor taste!! Don’t they realize that there are crazy people in this world that will see this and really do it!!? Even if its a prank, its a sick, sick joke. They said the owner of the dog worked for the radio station. What is wrong with her mentalitly? Who in their right mind would do that to a poor little dog or cat? I hope if its true, that sick DJ needs to be fired and told to get over it and the owner, well, she needs to float away with balloons tired to her. |

There is a place to leave a comment about this "prank." I would encourage every animal lover to post their feeling about this. Hopefully the station will change it's animal views on using animals as pranks. |

Thank God it was a "prank". I think its probably the least funny thing i have ever heard. some people think of the sickest things. I can't believe the station let them even joke about something like that. I hope Peta does come down on them. |
It probably is a stunt but a very tasteless one. It gives kids with nothing else to do ideas of how to entertain themselves. The station should be made to understand that a joke that has to do with harming any living creature is not funny. |

Disgusting... Absolutely Disgusting. One post I read on one of the sites said they should offer a huge apology followed by a very large donation to an animal shelter to make up for their screw up... I don't even think that begins to cover it... Some psychopath in training will probably try this now.... :( |
