I had a lady ask me not to long ago,in Petsmart,if her two toddlers could pet Mina. I politely declined. She said "oh is she a mean dog?". I really wanted to say no she doesnt want to pet your kids either. Held my tongue. |

I LOVE it...if I had a quicker tongue and mind choreography I'd have said," No I just assume everyone has mean kids." Quite frankly I don't want my dog's or kids to love everyone-stranger danger! I HATE how random strangers stick their hand s out at my baby! Really-did you wash before you left the bathroom last-what have you touched since and now you want to touch my baby-do I know you, do you really think I brought my bay here just to be poked at by you? I have seriously offended some people with,m "STOP, look don't touch please," as they reach for my baby...or dog.:p I really want to get ruder and talk to them as I do children, "we look with our eyes and not our hands, okay let's remember manners too." |
Pet Peeve I'm new to being a dog owner, but so far one of MY biggest pet peeves is strangers coming up to Chewie and I and just start kissing him. It doesn't help that Chewie is so open to strangers petting him, but the fact that they put there dirty mouths on him like that's their dog just makes me MAAAD! It's alright if you're a friend or family member, but if I have no relations to you ... don't kiss my dog! |

Honesty the way I look at it is the person is dump enough to try and kiss a dog then if the dog bites them it is there fault I have this issue with parents who tell/let their kids run up and pet dogs they do not know. Then if they get hurt they want to sue you over their stupidity |

I know for me I was always so shocked ppl would do this and catch me off guard I had to find an instant response to use & practice it. The reality is though you have two major concerns: 1. If your dog bites some idiot-you can be sued, your dog can be taken, even in the slightest it's expensive drama compared to being "rude" 2. Yorkies are highly desirable, there have been cases of people snatching a Yorkie right out of an owners arms are running off. and #3 my thinking some people are gross who knows what they could pass-flesh eating bacteria is real.;):D:( |

I hate when people say " oh she is just one of those regular yorkies, not a teacup" LIke she is less special because she doesn't weigh 2 lbs |

I did have someone say at the groomer that he is a BIG yorkie. "How much does he weigh??? At that time he was 6 lbs. so he was within standard then but he has a very long body so it can be deceiving. AKC says under 7 lbs; however they really want the dog to be 4-6 lbs. That's why poor Miles was probably sent to the rescue. He wasn't going to weigh 2 lbs. as an adult (can't get 8K for him), he has a cute little overbite (also non- standard), and I think there is something funky with his hind legs. I was at a doggie meetup a few weeks ago and there was another couple there with their dog who was 4.5 mos. much smaller than Miles of course. The husband asks me where did I "GET" him. I just answered very quickly 'a rescue' because I know why he was asking as he was not like their pristine little 12 oz. Yorkie which really shouldn't have been at a doggie meetup as she is too young, not all her shots, and was scared most of the time there anyway. Where did I GET him? - as if I found him on the street somewhere or couldn't afford to buy a Yorkie on my own (people are like that). I should have been smart and asked him where he "got" his. Question caught me off guard... |
it happened again the other night I'm walking the dogs talking to another dog owner when someone comes along, oh my god they are so cute. Ignores Teegy goes straight for Tufty, who promptly goes to my feet . Is he a teacup and I seriously looked at her and said no it's a dog and he's a 17 week old puppy. do you know what annoys me the most, that I'm not small enough to get in and join my two little wrestlemaniacs hahahahahaha, they are on my bed wrestling right now having an awesome time. it's that the overcomes the stupidity and ignorance of others |
