No, you can't have him back! So, as I have posted before I got Brutus for free for one of my clients. I was trying to do the nice mom gig and would email her updates and photos. Well, that has come to a screetching halt - she was in last week and when I showed her Brutus' latest picture, she said "I want him back". Are you kidding me????? She has no idea how much money I have into my pup, because #1 it's not her business and I took that responsibility on when I said I would take him #2 - he is part of my family and there is no price tag on love. Luckily her friend was with her and said "XXXXX, you can't take back her dog, look at how much she loves it - don't be an Indian giver". I just sat there speechless. Unbelievable. |
OMG, what is wrong with people? If I were you I'd keep Brutus far away from that lady. You are doing a great job loving Brutus and he is where he belongs!!! |
IS SHE NUTS, once she gave you that baby HE IS YOURS...oh, so crazy, what kind of person would even think about asking for him back... so sorry this happen to you.. |
I know - I have only have him 2 months, but still - he is my dog. Heck, he wouldn't even know her anymore. I did call my sister (lawyer) to see if there way anyway she could try to get him back and of course the answer is no. That made me feel much better. Oh, she did make him a little scarf which was nice and said it was from him fur mom. I think she has attachent issues and also mentioned having one more litter so she can keep one. I feel sorry for her little gal. |
I'm speechless and keep coming to the conclusion that so man people are nuts at times like this. |
It is sad that she thinks he should be passed back and forth like hes a pair of sandals and not a living thing. |
*&#% her...careful with scarfs-they can strangle & be uncomfortable. |
Not to be rude but her style and my style are not the same. I pitched the scarf already - felt a little guilty, but then not really. I don't like scarfs for safety reasons - same reason Brutus doesn't wear a collar. |
Honestly, I just when I think I have heard it all, something so preposterous is said or done that leaves me wondering, Did they really do that ? How could they ? What were they thinking ? Oh my goodness ! |
Just goes to show that drugs are bad, mmkay. That pup is yours! She's just jealous (and on something) |

That woman is nuts!!! I would cut all communication with her period!! Sometimes people are just soooooo stupid!!! |
I am thinking...was she really serious when she said that or as play? Cause I can't imagine anyone being that stupid. LOL what the heck you know? |
She sees the joy that your baby brings you,how proud of him you are. She has realized that if she had just put a little effort into that baby, this could be her. A well trained, joyful dog is not effortless. She wasnt willing to put the effort into a good realtionship with that sweet baby and you were. Any person in a relationship with her had better RUN or be willing to wait on her hand and foot. Definately has a bad case of the "cra cra s" (crazys). |
I think you should probably sever ties with her in terms of dog updates, it kind of shows her what she's missing out on. He's your dog, and legally she cant do anything to get him back so you should be just fine. lol at throwing away the scarf. Yea they are too dangerous. |
I'm glad he has you to love him. He's a lucky lil guy that he was given to you! What a wonderful gift for you and a great mom he has in you.:) |
That's crazy I would tell her tough S*** ! She probably wants him back because he is well taken care of and looks good. He would probably be in bad shape if he was given back to her. |
Scary! even though you know she cant have him. I always dreaded this happening to me. I too got my yorkie given to me, from an older man, who didnt want him. I often worried during the first few months, that he would change his mind if he seen him. Thankfully he never did. |
Maybe she just wanted you to pay for all his vaccinations and his neuter and then expected to get him back for free! That's crazy. If I were you I would try to make sure that lady never found out where you live, in case she tries to steal the dog back. Get him microchipped too! |
What a crazy woman! I can't believe that she seriously thought she could get him back!! |
I am never surprised anymore some people have all the nerve  |
OMG! I can't believe that woman! |

What the he'll!!! People are so stupid!!! I would stop all updates to her! |
I guess I'm slow or something but it never ceases to amaze me that when we put time, effort, money and most of all love into our fosters that at least one human will pop up and "decide" that they suddenly "must have their baby back"...seriously?! NOT!! |
I would never, ever, have anything to do with this woman again. I know your not, but, I would be scared she might even try to use the pictures to say he is hers. This world has gone crazy. I have never seen so many nuts. Maybe you should have gotten it in writing even though she give him to you. But, who would have thought she would have done something like that. You sound like me, trust to easy. I am getting better. The more I hear and read, I don't think you can trust anyone anymore. Good luck and I am so glad you have him instead of that crazy person. |
The previous owner does have some physical disabilities and I know she is on some heavy duty medication so I tried to take her comment at the time with a grain of salt. I really thought I was being nice giving her updates and pictures and I wanted her to know that Brutus was doing well and is very loved. I guess I felt that I owed her because she gave me something so wonderful. I have cut off contact with her and the only time I will see her is when she comes into my office. Someone mentioned getting Brutus microchipped, and I am having that done at the same time as his neuter which is scheduled for Nov. 26th. Was she serious????? At first I wondered the same, but she didn't crack a smile and looked at me with a stone face. If she was kidding, she sure made my heart drop in my stomach - thank goodness her friend was with her to ease the tension. She was talking about having one more litter so she could keep a puppy. It's really sad, as they live out on a farm and I think she let them roam free outside all day and just sleep indoors. |
I would keep a close eye on him .... she sounds like she has a screw loose. Glad to hear you cut off all ties with her. |
...several many loose screws... |
Don't truth her, and don't even give the time of day , until you micr chip him. Good Luck with your new furbaby. so happy you found each other. bark@ulatter!!!!!! manina, mileyandmax |
What a nut job!! Be careful she doesnt try to be sneaky and steal him...espicially if she has mental issues!! Good luck!!! |
