Oh poor little Mack...praying really hard that they figure out what is wrong with him and he gets better fast.

No....it's all iv fluids.... I really don't know why he's still vomiting. But he is... They are doing the barium test now... They are taking a series of images as the barium travels through his system. I will check back at 3.... That test should be done by then.

I am sorry to hear that sweet Mack is sick. I'll be keeping him in my thoughts, and hoping that he is all better soon.

Just got word from the vet. The barium has not moved into his small intestines. It's been 4 hours since they started giving it to him. He is worried that he has some type of blockage. He is going to wait about 45 more Minutes and take one more image. If it still hasn't moved, he is going to open him up and look for a blockage. I'm fixing to head back up there to see Mack. I'm scared to death....

Sorry to hear they are suspecting blockage. Sounds like your vet is doing a great job getting to the bottom of things, though. We will continue to keep Mack and you in our thoughts and prayers.

Kendra, I'm so, so sorry to hear about Mr. Mac. Prayers are going out for you and him. I'm glad that they are getting a handle on this. Please keep us updated.

Thought and prayers for all of you folks.

My Cali just spent 5 days in the doggie hospital with an intestinal virus. If there is a blockage you are in the right place.

Oh, my goodness. I guess he could have swallowed a foreign object or something. Doesn't have to be a tumor or anything. Can they do this through the scope? I am just so sorry to hear this about little Mack and so hopeful that you vet can get to the root of this and repair it, whatever the cause. Many a little guy trotting the earth today has had to have surgery like this I am sure. No doubt your vet has done this surgery a few times and will see your baby through it just fine. I am just so glad you rushed your little one to the vet ASAP and they got started on him before he had to suffer so long. He is in excellent hands and right where he needs to be. Waiting for a good report.
