I just read this thread...and tears are running down my cheeks. Little Mack is quite the fighter! Sending warm thoughts your way. I am happy he is home in your loving arms. |

You are not being silly at all. That swelling would have me over reacting and maybe getting a ticket for speeding. Like the time Gracie wouldn't open her eye. I was sure it was a scratched cornea,or retina detachment, and she was going to lose an eye, get a major infection and die, etc. When she had a tiny piece of leaf in her eye. The vet just rinsed her eye. I know most things are not life and death emergencies, but I have always acted that way with infants and Yorkies. If only they could talk, I might be sensible. Please update when you can. |
Mack seems to have his twinkle back in his eyes :) Hopefully the bump will be gone by tomorrow...otherwise, I would be back at the vet's office, but I am a worry-wart. As for pooping.....we are all waiting for it's release  Hugs being sent from Trixie and I ..... Mack is definitely in my thoughts and prayers. |
Another late night working for me and before I head to bed, I had to come here and check on little Mack Brown! :p Kendra, I am so glad to hear he kept the chicken broth down and that he likes it! That is wonderful news. :D Like the others have said, his little belly/intestines have to re-regulate and he has not taken much in. I am not a vet but I am educated in human medicine (medical assistant and medical transcription). Same thing happens with us humans - it takes the body a few days to get back to what it was before and with him being on the anti-diarrheal medication, that may be making a bit of a difference also. If he seems to be in pain (in the belly area) or straining, definitely take him in and I believe Ellie May said it its been more than 5 days without a bowel movement, to get him in. Yes, I am another one patiently await a poop from a puppy I have only met online but feel like he is my next door neighbor. That photo of him is so cute - he really does look much better! Contninuing to say prayers for you all! |
Just finished reading about little Mack Brown. What an ordeal your family has been through. I am so glad to hear that little Mackie is improving. Hopefully the bump is just an innocent fluid buildup. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. |
Just checking in on Mack and you. Hope he continues to improve. and poop. lol |

LOL - That's what I keep telling my husband! |
This is probably the weirdest post I will ever make on YT....Macky went POO!!!! And it was solid!!!! We are on our way to the vet to ck out the "bump", but I could swear it's suddenly smaller!!! |
:congrats: Good job Mack Brown! Where else but on YT would a group of women share in a celebration of poop. |
I think the bump is the bulbourous gland but it is best to have it vet checked. Its not the first time Ive heard on here of someone seeing that right after a neuter |
