I cant look at those sites it makes me sad and I want to save them all but I cant so if I start even thinking about going to one of those sites I go play with or hold Callie. If you are not ready or cant get another one right now try to stay away from those sites.

The way i stopped myself going on those sites in the UK, was to start writing to MPs and councillors to complain about puppy mills/farms. I look at sites offering puppies and check that they are licenced breeders. If not, i write to the local council.
For every puppy bought, there will be an older desperate dog being put down. :(
Please visit a local rescue if you want another dog. :thumbup:
Even if you dont want to adopt a rescue dog, have a look at the rescue pages and see how many dogs are begging to be given a second chance.
Last year in the Uk 126,000 stray and abandoned dogs were picked up. 20 dogs every day were put down...thats almost one dog put down every hour of every day, and i'm sure USA was much worse :(:(
I don't want to rain on your parade, all puppies are cute, but breeding has got out of hand.

I just did a search of that phone number in the ad to see what comes up. Just take a look and it will make you think twice about buying from the POS breeder! :mad:

Stay off site like eBay, Hooble, Craigslist or you are just looking for heartbreak. :(

OMG...this is a breeder posting on craigslist.....yuck! No reputable breeder would advertise their pups like that. Stay clear of whoever this is.

I have to say, I sometimes look at the animals available from the ASPCA, but I am in Japan, so I can't get any of them. I do not look at the ones available here (in part because I don't read Japanese, and because one is enough for now).

I totally agree. Good detective work with the phone # search :thumbup: I just did it as well. There are a lot of so called "reputable, very praised" breeders on here that list on hoobly, kijjiji, etc.... sad. I think a lot of them love an uneducated buyer which is a sad state of affairs but they\'ll STILL get their money :thumbdown

With that number I came across a link to picture of a stud that looks very familiar... is it just me? Wonder what\'s up with that?
