Yorkie or Rabbit? 2 Attachment(s) :idontknow Romeo loves to eat vegetables. Most days I think I have a rabbit instead of a Yorkie. Does anyone else have a Yorkie/Yorkies that love vegetables? |

What a handsome little boy Romeo is!! And YES, I have a Yorkie/rabbit too. Rocco hears the cutting board come out and he's at my feet in a split second...he especially loves carrots and red peppers. I stopped giving him celery because I have to pick the strings out of his little teeth after! :p |

You just made me laugh because I was thinking that maybe I gave Romeo the bad habit of eating raw vegetables. Sounds like Rocco and he share the same habits. Romeo's vet approves of his diet and even tells me that Romeo "eats better than he and is healthier". P.S. Rocco is quite handsome too! |
I used cold carrots for teethers for all of mine when they were pups but they seem toloose interest in them as they get older. Wish mine ate veggies better raw. They will always eat cooked carrots and blanched green beans! My DIL is a vegetarian and she has two poodles who LOVE veggies and fruit. She gives them fresh veggies and fruit every day and they just eat it up! Her poodles are also the best behaved and smartest dogs I have ever come across while still being as loving as my yorkies. I adore my yorkies but they have never amazed me with their intelligence like her poodles do. So... are fresh fruit and veggies brain food? Or is she just better at training!? Probably the latter. |
Good afternoon! :) Yep, our Harry loves his veggies! I home cook for him (apart from having his kibble down to free-feed on). Every day he has peas, carrots, sweetcorn + green beans in with his meat or chicken plus sweet potatoes and rice. My daughter reckons he eats better than she does!! :drool: Sally + Harry x |

Mine love carrots. When Beamer knows I am getting him and LilBit a carrot out of the refrigerator he will scratch at the door as I am opening it and then scratch at the drawer the carrots are in, seems I cannot open the door fast enough for him. Also when Bruce is peeling potatoes if any peel drops onto the floor Beamer is right there to grab it. We try and grab it before Beamer does as potato peel is bad for dogs. But sometimes he beats us to it. |
I'm so happy that Wendell loves his fruits and vegetables. Current favorite is Avocados, but he also likes sweet potatoes, green beans(if ground in the blender), peas, apples, oranges, carrots, even brussels sprouts if I cut them up small enough. But after reading the other posts, I'm going to offer him some celery and some of my favorite Wolfgang Puck's barley/vegetable soup. |
Thanks everyone for responding! I was beginning to think I was a bad mom because I feed Romeo what many would consider "human" food but I see many of you do the same. My boy will eat veggies, fruits, cereal and ice cream and even ICE. He also loves home-cooked steaks, chicken, salmon and tuna. What us moms won't do for our babies!!!! |
If French Fries Count then Troy is all Rabbit! :) But in all honesty I think he rather have meat, chicken, beef, shrimp and anything that's junk food related. |
Troy has great taste!! Romeo likes his french fries with ketchup... that plus some cherry icee from BK and he's a happy camper. |
Ahi loves her fruits and veggies. :D She esp. loves the treats that Rachel makes. :) Oh yeah and she loves ice pops too. No dog biscuits for this pup. lol |
