In my previous house, we had a mulch boarder... that all the dogs loved!! We moved, and the different strata uses different mulch (finer) and no one is interested. Maybe you just need to find a not-so-yummy mulch?? LOL

--Lemon loves bugs too. She goes out on the deck every morning and likes to "hunt" them (blah!).

Mulch Munchers. Ginny Joy, drives me nuts chewing on mulch, acorns and my roses !( I would have to keep her on a leash, spray her with water or devise some new training idea to make her stop. I admit I have gotten lazy and let her use the doggy door with the other doggies. I have not broken her mulch habit.) I have even been known to shout pathetically "Leave IT ! followed with a dramatic sigh, and sad " Not again ! Ginny Joy leave that nasty mulch out side !" If the vinegar works I will do that. :) Can I use the excuse I am still on crutches ? What No slack for the trainer ? :)

The people who owned the house before me were concrete crazy. There is a side walk around the whole back yard. They left a space about a foot between the concrete and the fence and had rocks there. I replaced the rocks, when Pippin started eating them, with the bark. It's too narrow to do anything else with it.

Where did you order the basket muzzle from? I've waited for about a half hour. I shouldn't have let him win, but I thought I would end up being in the yard the rest of the night. He is one stubborn dog. I have a gentle leader that I use for walks but I never thought of trying that. Thanks for the suggestions.
