YEAH!!! No more wet eyes Macy has been one of the many that struggled with eye boogies and wet fur under and around her eyes since I got her. Like everyone else I tried to find a solution that suited her. I read a post on here that someone used Nursery water for their fur baby and decided to try it. Wow, within 4 days her eyes are 100% better. In fact this morning no wet eyes to clean. I have been using filtered tap water and bottled water with no success. Her water is the only thing I have changed so I hope this is her answer to her watery eyes. |
Just wondering what nursery water is?? |

I'd love to know what nursery water is please. I too would love to end the saga with Romeo's tearing eyes. |
It's a name of a water it comes in a gallon jug and it has a baby on the front it is usually found in the nursery isle we have it at our local wal-mart. |
The one I use for Macy is just called Nursery purified water. Walmart has it for $1.00 in a gallon jug. It's distilled water you use to mix with baby formula. |
I will try this for Abby and Riley's water. They get eye boogers all the time. |
so u use this for their drinking water? im confused lol thanks |
Yes, this is what Macy is using for drinking water now. |
worth a shot, going to try this! |
That's what I thought too....it is only $1.00 for the gallon so I thought I would give it a try. This is the fourth day she has been on it and this morning I noticed no eye boogies or wet fur for the first time. I know every dog is different but I hope this is the answer for us. |
Hope I can get it in the UK. Like you say every day the eyes have to be done and Alfie hates it xx |
You are not supposed to give pups distilled water. There are no minerals in distilled water and it makes them pee out the ones that are already in their bodies. Pups have actually died because their owners were giving distilled water. Here's some info: The possible health consequences of low mineral content water consumption are discussed in the following categories: • Direct effects on the intestinal mucous membrane, metabolism and mineral homeostasis or other body functions. • Practically zero calcium and magnesium intake. • Low intake of other essential elements and microelements. • Loss of calcium, magnesium and other essential elements in prepared food from: http://www.who.int/water_sanitation_...ineralized.pdf |
OMG......I didn't know this. Going to stop immediately and deal with wet eyes. Thank you |
