To Cut or not to Cut.... 2 Attachment(s) I dont know what to do, I am torn with taking Pnut in to get shaved or just to leave him shaggy!! The first pic is him currently, the 2nd was a while ago when he was shaved down. I love him shaggy, but then I think he looks so cute all shaved! I love his hair shaggy bc you can see his colors, and his hair is so soft and I love to snuggle him right after a bath, he is so soft! I think I want to try to grow it out... Plus since it is getting colder I am more on the side of leaving it long. He gets cold easy, but I guess that's why I have a drawer full of sweaters!! Ughhh! I don't know! Which look do you guys like better? |
I vote for shaggy. He looks very cute either way, but I agree with you about how cuddly and soft shaggy is :) . Love that. |

I like the shaved cut better - he looks so handsome!! |
I have the same delima. I want to grow Lucy out, but she looks like such a little ragamuffin 98% of the time (WAY worse than Pnut!) that I've been soooo tempted to just cut her down. So I'll tell you the same thing my boyfriend told me: Patience, Kat! Lol, and he's right! I really would like to try to have her in full coat at least for a little while, and I've come this far with it (she's been growing out for about a year, and it's still only to about her knees!) that I might as well keep going! There's plenty of time later to cut her down. So I say, go with your gut... But, since you've come this far, why not take it all the way? Just to say you could, lol :D |

Mikki and Rosie vote for Shaggy!!! They think he looks like a wild man! ;):D You know how crazy girls get over wild men!! :p |
I love it when Callie is shaggy because it makes her look like a little stuffed animal but eventually I have to cut it because she is not ready to have long hair yet she still enjoys rolling in the leaves and stuff so I could not imagine picking all the leaves out (when she is a bit older I would like to grow it out at least once) and even when she is shaggy she still gets cold so i still have to put clothing on her. Sammy's hair grows like crazy and sticks in his face/eyes and he will not let me trim it so he has to go to the groomer to get it done and sense my mom got him about a year ago him and Callie have gone together so I would feel bad just sending one of them alone. But Pnut is a cutie not matter what you decided to do :) |

1 Attachment(s) I vote for shaved! I just love a neat and trim look. I often find myself debating whether to leave Jackson a bit shaggier (at about Pnut's length in the first pic) and he does look REALLY cute but it's more work. For a dog that enjoys rolling in things, being outside constantly, etc, it's really so much more wash-and-wear with the short do. I actually like it at this length in first pic.... That's usually the "longest" I go. I do have a pic of him with it alot longer and it just looks too messy to me. Lemme find it... |

I love Jackson length in that pic!! |
2 Attachment(s) This is the longest I think I let it get: It's cute for a while but I get sick of seeing it and just need to cut it, LOL!! |

I am having the same dilema with Romeo -- to cut or not to cut! I like him in a short cut because he can be a wild man with longer hair. Either way is cute it's just a matter of the work involved in long vs short. |
He is very cute and will be either style you choose..:)..however coming from someone who pefers a "clean shaven look" I prefer shaved. I keep all of my dogs except for my beagle of course in some sort of shaven cut. |
I can't really vote for short or shaggy. Pnut has the most adorable face, he looks great both ways. Although it will be winter soon and he may be warmer in long hair. My little Abba Boy looks all head and ears without his longish fur, so i keep him sort of medium . |
Definitely short he looks like a cuddly puppy and it makes his coat look thicker! Precious |

As for Pnut's hair, I think he'll look adorable either way. That's one very handsome little man you have there :D |

Shaggy since it's getting cooler. Cute either way but it's time to get prepared for the cooler days. |

If you want my opinion, I say keep it long. You could always trim up the thin ends and keep his hair at a medium length on his face so that it doesn't look shaggy and get in his eyes, if you know what I mean. I keep Betty Boop's long. Then, again, I don't mind grooming her and brushing her a couple times a day. I'm thinking of trimming around her eyes (not shaving around them) because hair is always making them water. My vet told me when I first got her to not let hair rub her eyes constantly because it can cause cataracts later in life. I like to cuddle her, too, because she is so soft!!:) Quote:

Peanut is adorable either way...but I definitely vote for shaggy. :D |
Peanut is gorgeous in whichever style you decide on...he's precious. You could always just let him grow, just tiddy him up...like tipping his ears, little trim here and there, just to to make you feel he's a little neater, LOL. ;) That's what I'm going to try with Zhoie for winter. She gets cool so easily, I'm going to grow her back hair out through the winter (if I can stand it); as I keep her back shaved and face and legs long. |
i vote for cut but with his head and legs all shaggy still. like the Joey cut! |
I would have to go for the shaggy look! Too dang cute! |
