Sgt_Cooper | 10-11-2011 02:05 PM | Behavior wise and personality, Ive heard people say that they change or can. I did not see this. Mine is the same old dog. lol I think my dog was done around 7 months give or take a month. He was very sore for two to three days and was quite pitiful he seemed to hurt him to move or walk or sit down. But after about 2-3 days. He was his self again. I think its harder on the females. I have a Lhasa apso and when she was fixed she was kinda down for about a week not being active.
But the marking, I agree with Chachi, I got my yorkie in Nov 09 when we was 3 months old, and the end of Feb of '10 I brough home a second dog since I fell in love w him so much. He didnt take to her right away and they still arent Lovey, they kinda do their own thing and occasionally play fight and wrestle but thats the extent of thier dealings. But he started marking after I brought her home but before he was neutered. The neutering didn't stop it. He continued. Stopped the humping but not the marking. I talked to my vet about it back in the spring I guess it was and he said to crate train him again even though he was potty trained. He said if I didnt that he'd probably always do it because it was a learned thing. But thankfully to say, he's done very little in the last few months. And I never did do what the vet said to... lol But he did the other day pee in the house.. but very few times in two or three months. So, Im hoping he will be stopping.. He's potty trained and uses the pee pads perfectly. Occasionally he'll do business else where, but I swear its for spite. lol Because he regularly uses his pee pads. But the hiking in the house is deffinately marking because he always does it at a corner of something, or beside and object like toys or something. He has his "places".
I dont take him out for walks like I should ( i know i know) but when I do, oh boy...... he pees on everything. Stopping every few places. He's hikes until theres nothing left and he just raises his leg. lol |
