I try to cut my girl the same way. The reason - she doesn't have a perfect silky coat + it is much easier to bruch her and she is more happy in the summer. |

I love that cut. I had a dog that was supposed to be part pom and part poodle, but looked like a smaller version of the Walt Disney shaggy dog. Anyway I gave her a cut something like that and she did look like a little lion. I shaved her body to the skin (short - but grew in in one week) and left her head, legs, and tail longer.....especially her head, which was a full round cut. She had legs that really did look like toothpicks if the were cut close - so couldn't do that. Yes - I do think that cut is darling. Carol Jean |

Bouncer is getting his haircut this week on a day we're not too slammed. It's a modified Schnauzer cut and just adorable. I'll take a pic if you'd like and piost it here, but it is very similar to the cut you posted. But you keep the skirt, like that of a schnauzer or westie, and the back is cut close. Makes keeping the hair much easier. I did Bounce like this last summer and ever since then I have at least 5 or 6 yorkies who come to our groom shop and ask for "the cut like that yorkie that is always here!" lol you keep the head and legs and skirt, but cut the back close so the hair is much more managable. Obviously, clean the feet up. And you can then decide how long you want the skirt to be kept or how short you'd like it. |

I like it, i may save and show this pic to my groomer. Except i might have the hair on the legs a little shorter cause he allways pee on his front legs. |
