Simon n Nigel's fears Simon does not like my husband and I dancing, or the dishwasher. Nigel is scared of unfamiliar shapes. They are both scared of the vacuum. |
Almost forgot. Jillie is afraid of pictures of cats. We were in Petco a couple weeks ago, and she refused to go anywhere near a silhouette picture of a cat. Come to think of it, she's never met a cat. |
Levi is afraid of the clicker I've tried to use for clicker training. He runs away and hides under my bed when I try to use it. He isn't scared of fireworks or thunder...but he's terrified of the clicker. I joke that he is just resistant to learn. He also doesn't like the sound of the nail grinder the groomer uses - so he only gets his nails clipped, not smoothed out with the grinder. His little nails are SHARP when he comes home. :p |
Geno hates my old hairdryer. He runs for the hills when I dry my hair. I recently got a new one that isn't as loud. He is a little hesitant about the new one but not as much. He'll at least stay in the room when I dry my hair. |

My Little Willow who is a rescue we adopted is afraid of loud noises, fast movements, thunder, vacum cleaner, ice maker on the fridge, loud music, car's that back fire, lawn mowers, let's just say she is afraid of most things. Willow was a breeder release to the Rescue Group I adopted her from. My Alliw who is also a rescue we adopted, doesn't seem to have a fear of anything. My Lizzie nothing bothers her. |
My Halo goes crazy if she sees a watermelon! Once I cut it and give bites to everybody, it's ok; but that big ole green thing is scary!:p |

[QUOTE=DJDB;3679164] We ended up throwing away the retractable leash we had because after three times of dropping it and having it "chase" him - he running and "YIPE YIPE YIPE"-ing all the way, he became really scared of it. QUOTE] Hahaha! I am laughing out load at my desk at work just picturing the "attack of the killer retractable leash"! Moses isn't scared of anything unusual...the blow dryer he just tries to bite the air and barks at it, he hates the vacuum, which is central vac, so you hear it all over the house. But I have noticed he is becoming afraid of strangers...like the big blond lady at Petco who had a ton of make up on...she scared him to death...and he was afraid of the vet last week. He didn't want to go to daycare on Wednesday coz he was afraid we were going to the vet! He has never been like that before! But put a big dog in front of him, and Moses suddenly views himself as a 90 lb Lab!:D |
omg, Ziggy is soooo scared of the hairdrier! he will run and shake for hours if someone uses it close to him (and by close to him i mean in the same house as him, lol) and cars, and barking dogs, going for a walk is such a challenge. all the dogs are fenced in but there are these viscious, lol, sausage dogs that can slip out of their gate! i hate walking by there! but we're working on it |
Macy is afraid of the sound the turn signal makes in the car. She is fine riding but when you need to make a turn, she tries to dig a hole in her seat. |
Both Bubba and Sissy run and hide at vacuuming time. Bubba is afraid of thunder, fireworks and the razberry noise. Other than the vacuum, Sissy is fearless-she is busy sleeping. |
Sophie Kate is afraid of yard ornaments and Jack O' Lanterns. She has gotten into many fights with my neighbors yard ornament of a Georgia Bulldog (and I might add she wins everytime). At first I thought it was just the Bulldog but she has also tried to attack Squirrel, Easter Bunny and cute little Cherub yard ornaments. With Halloween approaching you can bet a majority of our walks will include her growling and barking at my neighbors Jack O' Lanterns. |
Roxie is another one who is afraid of anything new in the yard. She is also terrified of anything that makes noise and used in yard work: lawn mowers, weed eaters, trimmers etc. She is also goes nuts over anything that rolls in the yard: yard carts, wheel barrels, etc.... Needless to say she also hates my vacuum cleaner and steam mop. |

His 'new fear' is the big cushion on my husband's sun-lounger - but then again Andy's been chasing him with it - like it's a huge mouth :clown29:. Trouble is, when Andy stops - Harry bothers him to keep doing it again and more! ;) Sally + Harry x |
