I think Fall is in the air The acorns are dropping like crazy. Leaves are starting to turn. And sounds like we may have our first freeze this week. I love the fall colors and the cooler weather. But not looking forward to that white stuff. More time for yt and I am already so addicted not sure that will be good  Oh and the sun is setting way to early :( Is it time for the next GE ? lol Happy fall everyone |
Well today it was about 98 degrees here today. Hard to imagine fall at this point. Lol. But 98 is much cooler than the 115 we faced this summer. But DH says a cold front is heading our way. Maybe we will get fall fever too! I have to say football tends to get my fall fever started. I love it! :) White stuff means day off from work for me but a long school year and a short summer. However, on those snow days I am on YT! Next GE has to be soon! Happy Fall to you too! :) |
Yes we hit 90 today here But the rest of the week will be much cooler. I enjoy football season as well. One of the only sports I do not mind watching on TV. |
Happy Fall everyone! Im looking forward to pumpkin pie, halloween, cool air, and Thanksgiving and being on YT more too. it seems like we have some real good discussions on here in the fall and winter also |
Happy Fall. :leaf: Now's the time to get out all those cute sweaters and jackets. Falling acorns are one thing but we also have a walnut tree that drops large, heavy nuts and we have to try and keep Sophie out from under it. I'm afraid she could get a concussion.:hide2: |
Feels like Fall at my house too! My all time fav season!! |
It was starting to feel like Fall here w all the rain and cool weather, but today we are going back up to the mid 80's. Going to the Fair today, so maybe that will seem more like Fall. I can't believe your leaves are changing already in Iowa! |

I do have acorns falling out the Oak Tree, the squirrels were actually throwing them down on the ground at Allie. LOL |
We have had cool days lately but it heated up some yesterday and the leaves around the lake is turning already, i love the fall colors :) |
Yesterday was 102,today should be 102 or 103. It is very hard to think fall, even if the trees are almost bare due to lack of water. I think that I will haul out my fall decorations in anticipation of the cooler weather that should be here later this week. It has been such a ruff summer for most of the US and I think that people, plants and animals are ready for a change. |
:leaf: Happy Fall Ya'll!!! :leaf: I'm jealous of the acorns, leaves and breezes. (And I LOVE the snow!) It's predicted to be 105 here today :(:eek: |
Jinger, the only breezes that we have here in FtW,feel like a hairdryer. So ready for a little cooler temp. No snow please, wouldnt mind about a weeks worth of slow rain. |

I'm soooo ready for Fall but don't QUITE feel it in the air yet. It was pretty hot and humid here still a few days ago. But I know it's getting closer and I loooveee this time of year. All the rain we've been having can go away! Can't wait for a nice fall breeze, the smell of fireplaces burning, the leaves changing and falling, a cool breeze, being able to wear hoodies (yeah!) |

It hasn't felt like Fall quite yet but I can tell things are starting to change.. Today the high is 78 but right now its only 72.. much cooler.. I'll take it. I really love the low 60's high 50's. That is when I will really be celabrating:) However.. I have been burning some yummy fall candles...:) |
The fall decorations are up!! My cinnamon sensy is turned on. Making fall jumpers and tshirts for Mina. Im ignoring the 100 degrees on my back porche. |

Good for you! |
I think we have the most perfect weather than anywhere in the US. At least that's what the censes said and I believe it. We are very rarely real hot or real cold. It's wonderful, but you know, I do miss seeing a beautiful fall like they have in upstate NY, Vermont, Maine and so forth. I wouldn't mind a "little" snow in the winter but not a lot of it for a long time. ;) We are going to check out the Bitterroot area in Montana in late spring. I hear it's ideal, and not all the snow and cold weather that the rest of that state because it's protected by mountain ranges on both sides. I hear it's beautiful. Someone on YT lives there, but I lost contact with her. |
I am so ready for fall! I thought it was here for sure for us, but it really heated up this past week. I'm hoping it will stay nice and cooler this week. Happy fall everyone! |
Well it wasn't 100 outside today,I was mistaken. It was 107!! and set a new record. |
Woke up to low fourties this morning and highs in the fifties today. Monday was 90. Sweatshirts are coming out. Tomorrow morning is suppose to be in the low 30 's. Brrrrrrrr.......... It is kind of refreshing |
well the uk hit 18 degrees today, and fall or autumn as we call it, is in the air.I love it though, wrapping my babies up in their cosy warm jumpers(sweaters to you guys lol) and going for a lovely long walk amongst the fallen leaves.:) |
Soon we will be wearing hats, gloves, scarfs & whatever else it takes to stay warm :D |
There are fallen leaves on the ground here too,but it is from the trees being stressed out due to heat and not enough water. Jumpers here are sleeveless dresses worn over a shortsleeve or long sleeve shirt. We call it both Fall and Autumn depending where you are standing in the country. 18 degrees f would be COLD here and we would not be going outside. I would probably have to shove my dogs out the door for pottie time. Yesterday was a record 107f. Today is better, thinking about rain but havent seen any,but even the overcase is nice. Im ready for something about 30degrees cooler. Enjoy your pretty weather and think of us here in the southern US that are still sweating. |
