First, they just sit there and look at me, then.. They walk back and forth, looking at what they want. (refrigerator/Jog Harness) Then comes the sorrowful eyes, then... They add some whimpers, which would bring tears to anyone's eyes. Then, they rush back and forth, barking loudly. Then, it's stamping their paws on the floor, and start throwing things. It gets worse from there ! |

Our Dink has done the exact same standing by the shower to show he is thirsty! He actually only did it once when my DH had moved his bowl to clean it and forgot to put it back. Most of the time, he just stares at me until I figure out what he wants... a limited menu of choices---potty, play, petting, treat, or just attention. |

I used to have a cat and a dog that both liked to drink out of the bathtub faucet. It started after someone would take a bath or shower they would get in there and lick the faucet. Then it got to where they would demand that a small stream of water be turned on so they could drink from it. They both much preferred the water from the faucet than from any bowl. Thank God Gracie has not tasted the delightful faucet water and still drinks from a bowl. |

Kaos does one polite cry to let me know he's awake in the morning. Then licks his empty food bowl when he's hungry. He sits on the end of the bed and stares at me when he was to go out. If he wants to play he will leave 50 toys around me. If he wants me to fill his kong he drops it on my head like 100 times, then stares at me. And if I'm forgeting any of the above. I get the stupid mommy stare until I figure it out. :p Oh and when its bed time I ask him if he wants to go to bed. And he runs under my bed covers and hides so I won't put him to sleep in his crate. And if I try and pick him up he shifts his weight the opposite direction of me. That's his way of telling me he wants more snuggle time. :) |
