So sorry Pnut! |
Praying Pnut is okay! Plesae keep up updated! |
Has the vet given you an update yet? |
Aww poor pnut. praying for pnut!! |
wow, the same thing happened to my Chihuahua, Tootsie today. i didnt see a bee but the vet said that could be what happened. i let all 3 dogs out in the yard , and a couple minutes later, Tootsie came limping in the house. i called the vet and she said to take a really good look at the paw which i did and she said to keep an eye on her overnight , if i see any swelling to call her. and she will call me in the morning. its been over 4 hours now since it happened. she started bearing more weight on her paw about an hour ago and is now in bed sleeping. Hope all is ok with Peanut !!! |
Sending prayers for Peanut that he will be home and comfortable soon. |
Unless allergic, should be okay. So glad you are at the vet just to be sure. Hope little Pnut only has a sore paw to show and no reaction. Let us know when you can. |
So sorry to hear about Pnut! I can only imagine how scary this is for you both. We will definitely be praying for him- as well as you. Looking forward to a positive update for Pnut! |
Thanks guys for the well wishes and concerns. The vet was able to pull the stinger out, he gave him some injections. The vet said he should be fine. His leg is starting to go down ( it was pretty swollen). He is acting out of it and still shaken up. He keeps pacing back and forth. We are home now. My poor baby.... I'm going to comfort him I will post you guys in the morning, I have a feeling its going to be a long night. .. pnut is pretty sensitive so I know he needs me.. Thanks again! |
Good to hear - should be okay after gets settled down. The little thing is probably exhausted and confused. Hope you all do get some rest tonight and tomorrow is a much better day, albeit with a sore sore paw. |
I'm glad the vet got the stinger out. Give him extra cuddles! :) |
I'm glad he's okay. Hope he's back to himself in the morning. |
Glad he's okay, but it shouldn't have gotten two bad anyway. Bailey got stung on the but by a bee when she sat in her bag (she sat on the bee). She yelped, but we got the stinger out, luckily her fur had a puppy cut. We got it out with tweezers and cleaned it up and she was just fine. No swelling or anything (we were lucky). |
I'm glad to hear he is okay. Make sure to give him lots of love tonight... We will be waiting for an update in the morning! |
Ack! Poor Pnut! I hope he's ok by now. |
Happy to hear Pnut didn't have a severe reaction and his at home getting extra love from his mommy. |
Happy to hear Peanut is going to be Ok. I'm sure Mom has given him lot's of loves and kisses. |
I'm glad that Pnut is going to be OK. Give him a big hug from me! |
So sorry to hear about peanut getting stung. Poor baby :(. Hope he feels better soon. |
Glad to know Pnut is okay. Same thing happened to my Basset Hound Cleo last year. She got stung on her nose and it swelled up. The only problem is with Cleo she's stupid and loves to chase bees. I get really nervous in the summer. |
Poor baby! So glad he's going to be okay!! How scary that must have been for you!!! Give him extra belly rubs for us! |
Thank you guys for the well wishes, I had to be his nurse last night. He didn't want me to leave his side. For the ones who don't know Pnut he is really sensitive.. The vet gave him 3 injections plus some pain meds. He gave him Dexamethasone, Diphenhydramine, and Torbugesic.. and a Chlorpheniramine pill. When we got home I fed him. He was pacing back and forth and acting still in shock. I put him on the couch with me and he layed down. He kept moaning, it was making me really nervous. Dh said it was bc of what he went through and he has a lot of meds in his little body... I felt so bad for him. He finally went to sleep. He slept for about 2 hours. I woke him up to go to bed. He usually sleeps in his crate but I wanted him with me in the bed. We all went to sleep. He seems to be better this morning, he is still kinda sleepy. I fed him a little wet food. I'm sure he will feel 100% when we get home from work. I know bee stings aren't that bad, but he is just a little guy. He is also very sensitive. Thank you guys for supporting me! I've seen a lot of bees and wasps in the grass.. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of them? |
Tell Pnut it's ok to be a bit sensitive. those darn bees hurt like the dickens! :( |

aww poor peanut!! I am glad he is ok!! Hope you have a more restful night tonight! |
I'm glad Pnut is doing better. I'm sorry, I don't know anything about how to get rid of bees/wasps hopefully some of the other members can help you. |
So much for my easy night! I got home from work, pnut didn't seem like his self. He has just been kinda "eh". Well I got out of the shower and he was sitting in the corner. I picked him up put him on my bed ( white goose down blanket) I look and see a poo smear! I look at his bum and he had poo smeared all over! I go to the kitchen and I find diahrreah everywhere! I knew he was thinking he would get in trouble, but I couldn't get mad at him. I know he doesn't feel good.. I threw him in the bath, threw my goose down in the wash! Then cleaned the floors!! MAN!! I'm not sure why he has loose stools!!?? Maybe the wet food upset his tummy, maybe its from the injections yesterday??? I have no idea! He is now laying next to me.. I'm on my phone so excuse me for typos! He doesn't seem to feel that great!! I dunno what to do? Should I take him in to the vet tomorrow? |
Oh poor Pnut. Good thing you didn't get mad at him. It's not his fault, right now he's not feeling well. :( Call the vet in the morning. Hope he feels better soon. |
