Pictures of the Spice boys at Class 4 Attachment(s) They both successfully completed a 3+ week Obedience School, where they spent 9 am to 5 pm there M-F. It was worth it, and now we go for lessons with them, so we are trained.....and then they start Distraction Class next week, and then on to Agility. Basil is the one with the lighter colored head. |
3 Attachment(s) and a few more. |
Wow, I've never heard of such an extensive course! 3 weeks of 8-hour days? Is this class sponsored by the Marines? :p Congrats on completing it! Thanks for the pics and update on your pack. |
They are cuties!! Thanks for sharing!! :) |

Mike, it it was a marine Training Class, with would have went from 0400-2300, M-S, with Sunday afternoons off after the 3rd week. Not sure if Caper would have graduated. He is part clown. Totally different personalities. They are smart little guys for sure, but stubborn, and their attention span lasts about 10 minutes....which is still 9 minutes longer than mine. They got a lot of rest breaks and fun time. |
should read....IF it was a Marine Training Class |
Awwww, adorable pictures! Congrats to the Spice Boys! :) |

It's been some time since I saw their pictures. They're so darn cute and are growing up to be smarties. They're going to be little Marines just like their Daddy.:p |
Congratulations Spice Boys. Gosh the little guys are so handsome, and well the big guys isn't so bad either.:p |
How adorable they both are, just beautiful! Wow, that was an intensive class, and you were training with them? Do you have lots to share with the rest of us? I don't think there anything much better than a well trained dog. |

We did not properly train Maxine and we have a little Boss that listens when she wants, does what she wants, gets what she wants (Sounds like I am describing Marge). Carlo went to the same 3+ week Obedience school that Basil and Caper just attended. I know there is a difference between a 130 pound guardian and a 4-7 pound Yorkie, but I believe they all need it, and they need to know who the alpha is. We still will have to reinforce their training daily, with a 10-15 minute workout at home. I am very happy with A CLOSER BOND where Carlo and the brothers atttended. They do a great job, and what a huge difference just taking the boys for a walk. Nice having them sit when we stop. Not to move until they get a command, to focus on us, not all of the distractions, and to come when they are called. Still working on the NO and PLACE command. Last night, we had them PLACED on their individual mats for 30 minutes. They try to push it, but after a few corrections they know they are no longer the boss because they are cute. Find a good trainer. Get references, Go and monitor their methods. Check the place out for cleanliness and smell. Common sense will rule. You pay good money for a great pet, so whatever you can do to make them better, while they have fun and exercise is a win win. |
They are too cute.... :) |
Those are some Beautiful Yorkies!! Great job Steve and Marg. You did good. |
They sure are good looking boys, I may have to go ahead and request them for the Valentines Ball for my Tessie and Sassy. |
Oh my goodness such handsome boy's they are. You can sure tell they are brothers. Congrats on them graduating class. |

Ohhhh My Goodness!! They are just PRECIOUS!!!!!! :) |
Wonderful pics Steve!! :D Sophie graduated from beginners obedience class but we need to go further to the next level. She is still easily distracted. What was the hardest part of class for the boys? |

Keeping focus! They picked up the Heal, down, sit commands quite well. Off leash was a real challenge, as well as the place command. They will still forget to sit when out walking when we stop...just to test us. Training never ends....but have to keep it light and fun. |
