How far away is your vet's office? How far do you travel to your Vet's office? |
I travel about 25 minutes to my vets office, about 1.5 hours to the specialty hospital if needed. It is a 10 minute drive to the ER vet. |
15 miles, he was 5 miles and moved to another practice, so I followed him. I love him so much and he is the greatest person and vet I would probaly drive a lot farther if I had to.:thumbup: |
Less than 3miles,4lane road,3stop lights. The ER is a solid 15min in the middle of the night,on the highway with no traffic. |
I live in a very small farming town. I have to drive an hour and a half to the vet. their are other vets that are a little closer but this one I go to is accredited. They are the best ones to go to . their prices are not that bad , they are even willing to work with you . The Dr. will give me an estimate and breakdown of all procedures. If something is too much my dogs still can get excellent care. |
vet - 5 miles, (will respond to emergencies) er - about 1/2 hr to er facility |
The pricing at my vets office has gone up and are Outrageous. Riley is due for his yearly check-up/vaccines, etc. [I was charged a total of $210 in examination fees when i first took him in 3-different times, for his initial check up and then his 2nd and 3rd set of puppy shots. All they would do is listen to his heartbeat and wiggle him arond. I have talked to a couple of offices, who have come highly recommended, in Virginia, down around where my parents live... and their pricing is sooooo Much Less.... of course. I have some time to think about it. |
My vet is about 20 minutes away. The ER and specialty hospital is about 25 minutes away. |
Winston's usual vet is only about 3 blocks from home. That is where is groomer is as well. His Int. Med. vet is about an hour away, well worth the drive.. |
The place I am considering is about 1 hour 15 mins. away..... |
Sparky's vet is 0.8 miles away, about 2 minutes with traffic. They are also open everyday, even Sunday until 7 PM. E-Vet is 10 miles away, about 13 minutes with traffic. |
30 miles to our vet (takes 30 minutes to drive there almost exactly). There's actually one down the road from me (3 miles), but I've not heard good things about it and Kimbo has never gone there. I'd have to drive an hour and a half to get to an emergency vet. |
My vet is 5 minutes away. The ER is about 45 minutes as is any specialist. |
I travel 30 minutes to my vet and its 5 to 10 minutes to the ER vet. |
our vet is about 5-6 miles? And there is a new 24 hour emergency place or sumthin IM told in about an hours drive. |
The vet i take my girls to used to be about 20 minutes away. Now she is opening up her own practice and it is being built but is taking along time, so she is doing housecalls until it opens. its been very nice having her come to the house, and her prices are great, she doesnt charge any extra to come to the house :) |
5 minutes away |
Our vet is about 10 minutes away and the nearest emergency vet is 10 minutes away. |
Ozzy's vet is about 3 blocks from where I work, and I work about 5 kms from home. Very convenient in every respect! |
Our regular vet is housed in a 24-hour emergency hospital about 10 miles/20 minutes away. |
I am very lucky. When we moved here I looked at half a dozen in the area and the one I liked best was about .5 miles by street and if I had to I could walk and cut through the woods and it would be 2.5 blocks. He does most of his own work and has great contacts in the area if we ever need a specialist. He also has a service that I can call that will even get him up out of bed to meet me at the office. I have only had to do that once (don't wanna talk about it) and he was there in around 20 minutes. He looks me in the eye, he gives me all the options and lets me make the decisions. Since we are so close and he knows I will be watching them like a hawk, he has even let me take my dogs home early after surgery. There are others that charge less but I think it is worth it when you have someone that is good and works with you. I have talked to him about getting a Yorkie and we have gone over the health concerns and he thinks a smaller Yorkie would be a great companion for Angel. :D Oh, and I wanted to add that the assistants in his office are top shelf. Very informed, caring and willing to talk. That makes a big difference when your time with the Doc is limited. I even had one of them ask ME for advice! I know a lot about big dogs but these little ones are a whole different kind of critter! Thank you YorkieTalk, I don't know what I would have done with out you! |
The regular vet we'll be returning to is about 5-6 minutes away. The ER vet is literally down the street, I can get there in 5 minutes if there's traffic & a radar cop. |
mine is 5 minutes walking distance from my house:) |
I had a vet who was only a few blocks away but when my rabbit was ill he recommended a exotic specialist who is in a clinic in another city 45 minutes away. I have received such amazing care that I take all my animals to the to the clinic farther away unless theres a reason. For example, my ragdoll cat had an eye infection recently but he has asthma and hates the car so I took him to the local vet instead. |
5 minutes..... and that is if I do the speed limit! |
5 minutes away, I have gone to this vet for years and would follow her if she were to move her practice (doubtful since they just built a brand new building tha opened in October). |
Ours is about 30 min away but if I have an emergency there are closer ones |
25ish minutes. Would follow her even if it was an hour or two.. I do have another vet closer that we use for more urgent things (there on Sundays, amazing doctor). All routine things are done at the regular vet along with anything that I can hold over on a Sunday, etc. That way most of her records are in one place and the one we usually see is the one we developed the patient/vet/client relationship with. |
I have used the same vet for probably 20+ years. He has two offices and one is 20 minutes away and the one I use most often is 2 minutes from my driveway to his office. |
Well, our current regular vet is only 5 minutes away (with no lights/traffic). The clinic we visit for shots, neuter, small issues, etc, is 35 mins. away. And the ER vet is about 25 minutes away or so. |
