My dog Choco is lost!! In Anaheim Hills area. Please help I looked everywehre for him. Our backyard is fenced tightly everywhere, and I always them (choco and my other dogs) play in the backyard. I opened the door to let them back in after 30 min, and he was gone. I think he dug through the back and squeezed himself out. He's only 3 lbs. How long can yorkies last until they are dehydrated and no longer can move? I heard he snuck out through the backyard which is a small hill down to other houses, and the children playing in the front told me that they saw him, chased him trying to catch him, then he went all the way to a "hiking trail" I've been searching for hours. it's been 5 hrs already. I thought I saw him, but I think it might have been a bunny or something else because it ran away from me. Would they run and not notice it's me? Would someone call right away? He didn't have his leash on at the moment (the only time he didnt!) but he is microchipped so i contacted homeagain to be on the lookout. Plase let me know what i should do. |
My prayers are with you, I know you must be scared , you need to put up posters now and tell all your neighbors. Make sure you have some treats. Post it on Face Book, Don't give up! Maybe if you take one of your other dogs with you on a leash, |
Megansmama has a couple of good posts in the YT library. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/mis...ie-poster.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/mis...st-yorkie.html I hope your little one is home safely with you soon. |

But don't underestimate a Yorkie's ability to survive on its own. A friend rescued one last winter that survived for months in an Alaska winter. Rescue group estimated it had been out there for as long 4 months, living under a Dumpster. Don't give up! |
I hope you find him soon, please let us know when you do. |
I am so sorry , I am praying for his safe return, |
Thank you so much everyone. I searched until 9pm today with no luck. Will post the flyers tomm and wait for the shelter to call (if anyone brought him in and had him scanned). I am so worried because he is so small.. |

I was thinking of you and looking for an update. Praying for a miracle. |
Oh, no! I'm so sorry! Just don't give up hope! I wouldn't wait for the animal shelters to call. I would be calling them a few times everyday if it were me. Scan the newspapers, craigslist, and even go to local veterinarian offices as they usually have a bulletin board. If you make a flier, I would put that he needs daily medication and no questions would be asked as you just want him home. Please let us know updates. I will be praying for your little one. Contact everybody you can think of.....police department maybe? |
