| My Lilly Gets Scared For the last 2-3 weeks, we have noticed that Lilly gets scared when we are horsing around. For instance, my husband and I were playing around (he hit me and I hit him, not hard, just silly stuff) and Lilly hide under the bed. So we stopped immediately and comforted her. Well, another time I hit my husband slapped my husband with an envelope (again just being silly), Lilly ran into the living room and hid behind the chair. Today she did the same thing. This just stared about 3 weeks ago. She is 9 months old. Any ideas as to why this is happening. My husband and I wrestle around a lot, so she is used to it and usually gets in on it. So why the sudden change?

| Aww, that stinks. I wouldn't know why the sudden change but I've heard that if you notice any sudden changes in your baby to take them to the vet for evaluation. I wouldn't know what to have the vet check for though.

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | I have to laugh at you name I have a lily i call lily lou and my daughters think it is fun to call her lily pad. Long story short they got my grandaughter calling her that and then she looks at me because she knows its wrong. Everyone gets a big kick out of it. She say Lily Pad and then she says no grandma its Lily Lou. I am sure you play fighting is making her very nervous if she runs and hides.

| It could be the sudden movements to the play fighting or any loud noises that she might hear. It is scaring her. I htink that yorkies can get really nervous easily. I know my Suzi can. They are very sensitive to new things and change. My Suzi goes nuts it the electricity goes off or the fire alarm beeps.

| There are many articles about this topic, I just picked the first one I found on google, even though it's about dobermans, it applies to all puppies. Puppy | Dog Breed | Pet Supply at Doberman.org Read the Second Fear Imprint Period paragraph. If jokingly hitting your husband is something you do a lot, then you need to use the advice given to desensitize her to it or she will always be afraid of it. Or just don't horse around with him during her fear imprint period because it may cause her to be permanently scared of that. There are many other articles you can read about it as well, I just picked a random one. |
