Mikki goes in for Spay Tomorrow Mikki is scheduled for her spay tomorrow. Please say a prayer that she is fine through it. DH is not happy with me. :( He thinks she is just too tiny. I tried to explain but he just don't see it. He is a little attached to Mikki. They told me to not feed her after 12:00 am. Do I need to pull up the water too? I forgot to ask. :confused: |
Of course, I will say a prayer for your precious little girl. It sure sounds like daddy is a lot attached to Mikki already.:) You know, I can't remember about stopping the water at midnight. I'm sure someone will come along in a little while and answer that question. But, if I was unsure, I would take up the water. I know before my major surgery, I was told no water. Let us know how she is doing tomorrow. |
Sending good thoughts and prayers to Mikki. She will be fine. I would take the water away too. That's what I was instructed when my dogs had dentals, etc. Let us know how Mikki is tomorrow. |

In ppl it is nothing by mouth after midnight before a surgery the next day. We will remember Mikki in our prayers.:) |
My prayers are with you, Mikki, Rosie and DH. I think it is so sweet that he is worried about her, I guess now he has his own little girl. She will do fine. I had to not let mine have food or water after midnight. |

My Fufu just got spayed last week and she did great! No food after midnight, but they let her have water until morning. She did get dropped off at the vet at 730 and they did the surgery at 11ish so that might be why too. She did great AND got puppy teeth pulled too :) |

Hang in there mom and dad - it will be over before you know it. After surgery - lots of special time and snuggles. She may not want to eat much for the next day or so. Vet should send you home with some food suggestions in case she has an upset tummy. My fur-babies are like me - after a local we usually throw up at least once or twice later in the day. |

You are having to cope with so many emotions, both happy and sad. I am thinking of you and your family today. I am anxiously awaiting the news that Mikki is back home with you. I hope her little body heals and I wish the same for her mom's heart. You are in my prayers. |
