One curious thing. I see Biewers in the Yorkshire Terrier Nursery forum and also the Yorkshire Terrier For Sale forum. If they're a separate breed, shouldn't they be in the "Our Yorkies Brothers and Sisters" forum? Just asking... | I do not start threads in those sections as I do not breed. However, my feeling is that since they are related (on the site I posted earlier YT's are referred to as cousins), they are still in the YT family. Thus, I still think it is fair Biewers are included in the YT areas of the forum.
In addition, as others have expressed, some feel the Biewer is just a different colored YT. I'm certainly not the authority and I'm not the only one with an opinion. My opinion that they are a separate breed, is my own.
However, if you'd like to contest that Biewer posts be moved, I'm sure you could send a message to Admin. They decide how to organize the posts after all. :)
The point of my post wasn't to start a debate on Biewer vs. Yorkie and how they relate to each other. It was to refute the post linking Biewers directly to BYB's/mills and poor breeding because I do not feel that is fair.
All in all, I love ALL pups. Mixes, purebreds, Yorkies, Biewers, Maltese, Poms, Labs, etc. They are all great and deserve love and affection. However, it is always buyer beware no matter what kind of pup you are buying! |
