| Needing to vent I live with my grandparents and my uncle and aunt came to visit for the weekend and they brought there Shih Tzu who is around 5 pounds name Destiny. Well I have my yorkie Callie and my mom brought her yorkie Sammy down. Well we were sitting at the table eating dinner and Destiny came to my aunts leg and cried so my aunt started feeding her food from the table and Callie was sleeping and could care less but Sammy comes into the kitchen and just watched her and she never gave him anything. Not that I necessarily wanted her to give Callie or Sammy what she was feeding Destiny or do it from the table but feeding one dog right in front of the other while he is watching is terrible! I thought my dad was going to blow a gasket. After dinner when everyone else was in the living room we gave Sammy and Callie a few bites of some things that where good for them but I still feel so bad for Sammy who was just sitting there watching sad. My grandma said later on to me when I was still upset about it oh well yeah it was wrong but remember they are used to just having Destiny around and I was like well yeah but I am used to just having Callie but I never leave Sammy out of stuff when he is here heck when I buy Callie stuff online I buy Sammy stuff too.

| Are you upset that they didn't offer anything to Callie or Sammy? Or are you upset they gave people food at the table while people are still eating? Callie and Sammy sound much better behaved than Destiny. A dog should not beg at the people's table, but should wait patiently and quietly until they are done, and if they are allowed, will get a bite. That is what I believe anyway.

| Yes I agree that the dog should wait patiently. I think she's upset because they didn't offer anything to her dogs.

| I agree. We don't feed people food-especially off the table. But if one dog gets a "treat" the others should too. Maybe explain to aunt that your and your moms dogs don't get fed that way and that's it's not really fair. Compare it to one child getting ice cream when the ice cream truck came by at dinner while his 2 cousins had to wait and get ice cream from the fridge after dinner. I think she was more upset that one dog sat by and watched while the other dog got special treatment. She said she didn't want them fed the food from the table, or the food the other dog was getting but it's the fact that Sammy sat and watched while destiny got treated special. It's like watching your cousin get bought a Popsicle off the ice cream truck and watching her eat it and you got nothing.

| Ok I just re-read and now I get it. I guess I just read it too fast the first time. I agree, not polite to offer your dog something in someone else's house, and not offer it to the host's dog or other dog's, or not asking if it's ok in the first place! Bad manners by aunt and uncle I say.
