| ![]() I'm sure alot of you know about Lexi's itching. Well today I have good news. Yesterday I bought a new shampoo & conditioner from Pet Smart (Groomax Professional Organic Oatmeal and Groomax Professional Rapid Repair)both hydrating . Anyway I came home and bathed both girls, after the bath Lexi didn't itch as much as she has been. Today her coat looks so pretty and shiney her color is coming back and very little itching today. Now, I'm not sure the change in shampoo has done this, because she has been treated for mites/mange, and she has been on the oil supplement, her food has been changed for awhile now. However, I don't know that it is the shampoo that is making her itch less, I do know the shampoo has helped her coat and skin. Here are some pics, they're not real good pics but I think can you can see an improvement in her coat...

| ![]() Go Tricia...... Sounds like maybe a combination of things has helped your little Lexi, I am very glad that she is feeling better. That itching all of the time is distressing. ![]() |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | ![]() WOW She DOES look pretty and shiny ! ![]() I know you've been so worried about her and I hope it IS the shampoo and that way you can get her back to normal and no more scratching !! Way to go mom - I really hope this does the trick for you - I remember 2 summers ago Chanel scratched for a whole week - I went nuts trying to find out what was wrong and got the stuff that worked for her in Petco too - you just feel miserable for them when they're scratching all the time ![]() She looks just beautiful ...she really has a pretty coat ...We're going to keep our fingers crossed you have found help for her itchyness |

| ![]() Thanks everyone, I just hope what ever it was it's getting better. She is still itching way more than she should, but it's still half of what she was itching. I hope over the next couple weeks she stops completely. I'm going to take pics of her back legs so you all can see how bad it got, and her hair was drying out so bad I really don't think it has grown in atleast 2 months. Thanks, Tricia

| ![]() I've been following your posts, too. Dublin is also a scratcher, (though not as serious as Lexi!) and I haven't been able to isolate the problem yet. I've tried different foods and supplements, but nothing has helped. I've been using CC products and Cowboy Magic since they were so highly recommended here, but they haven 't done anything for the itching. (Even the Peace & Kindness hasn't made a difference.) His coat is soft, clean and shiny, but he's still scratching! BTW All of the above products have had great results with my other dogs, but none of them have ever been scratchers! Guess I'll be going to Pet Smart tomorrow. Sometimes I feel like I might as well just sign over my paycheck to them! ![]() Thanks for sharing, Tricia!
