Got goaded/ran my mouth at PetSmart Ok, so DH working today, so I wanted to take Zhoie to PetSmart and then she & I went to the park. Well, we go into the store, was shopping and a lady comes up to me with a (larger yorkie, light silver in color with wild curly coat) so I said, "hi fella, aren't you a cutie" and she says, "what kind of dog is that" I reply "yorkie" and she sasy "who cut that hair?" I said, "I did, with her being a cotton coat, she tangles and gets so hot" THEN....she said "well, i don't like that at all, looks like she has pants", I said "pardon" and she said, "well, I just don't like that at all" That's when it went downhill....I said..."Oh yes, I can see why you would like that (pointed finger at dog) hot mess for sure, but then she is not yours no is she. I was not moving, it would have been on....but she just looked at me and humphed and stomped off!! All yorkies are precious in my eyes! The freakin nerve of people :mad: |
OMG the nerve of some people!!! Good lord Zhoie is one of the prettiest yorkies around and you know my feeling on her haircut. She was probably just jealous. On lighter note...I am glad it didn't come to blows:p I can see the headlines now...two yorkie moms arrested at the local Petsmart:D Glad you stood up for your beautiful Zhoie and her gorgeous haircut:) |

Um...ok. Zhoie is gorgeous. And I mean it. She was OBVIOUSLY jealous. Don't let her get to you. You should feel good.... she liked Zhoie so much she tried to put you down. She's probably also jealous she can't cut hair like you can. :) |
Awesome... I just LOVE how you handled it... I sooo would have said to that lady... I would have just siad, ( in a laugh) yea well we are all intitled to our own opinions, Just wish you would have kept yours to yourself and walked away from her... Your baby is ADORABLE!! Another fave come back of mine is, Who died and left you the job of doggie hair cuts? I just hate outspoken people, wish they so would mind their own business. |
I can't believe how rude that woman was - who asked for her opinion anyway?! I do think she was jealous that you did that beautiful cut yourself! Zhoie looks so regal! You should have told her how many ppl have asked you to tell them/teach them how to achieve that look - all those ppl can't be wrong about how cute that cut is! ;) |

GRRRR... What was she thinking ? Why would she say something like that, for pity sake ! Zhoie is a beauty. I had a woman once say to me, ' A Yorkie... REALLY, it looks more like a scruffy rat." (It was my rescue Gracie before her coat grew back) I was shocked into silence. But, my friend wasn't, she said to her "Your Afgan is beautiful.' She waited until the woman said thank you, then sent this zinger," I am sure you love him because he is beautiful. My friend here, loves little Gracie and she was almost bald, when she rescued her. And you know what, some people say the dumbest things to her !" The woman snorted and sailed by us without a backward glance. |
