So sick of these HOT days! Ok, ok, so first I was complaining that Spring was taking forever to get here. Now I am complaining that it's TOO hot. We never seem to get a good in between, LOL. I don't remember it being this hot in May/June here in a while though. We did get a short break where we had some gorgeous days in the low-mid 80's with not as much humidity but now we are back to these 100 degree days! Literally my car read 102 yesterday. WTH, Maryland, you are not supposed to be this hot LOL. Jackson can't stand it and I am finding it hard to find things to do with him. It's just unbearable to walk in this heat. We tried yesterday and did about 10 minutes before he just plopped down and did not want to walk anymore. Dog park is pointless because he just sits around anyways, it's too hot. Luckily he's been pretty content for the past 3 days to play a lot in the house with his Kong tennis balls and new Orbee toy, so we've been doing a lot of chase and hide and seek/run around the house type games! LOL. Oh and a lot of sleeping. I cannot wait to get over to my dads place this weekend so he can swim in the pool. Just a whine rant thread about the hot weather ;) |
We feel your pain. My boys are bored. They missed their evening walk last night. I had to carry Max back up the hill on the morning walk, and he overheated at the park the night before. The temp had dropped down to 80 and the sun was setting, but the humidity was too much for him. We have been playing fetch and running in the house, but the boys grow tired of it pretty quickly. Doesn't look like we are going to have a walk tonight. It is still 97 degrees. :( |
It is 64 degrees right now but before this we were in the mid 90's! WTH??? |

I swear we went from the arctic to the tropics in one day this year! Blizzard or heat wave, it's all or nothing. Add in some uncharacteristic storm patterns & it's been a disastrous spring across the U.S. already! |

We are on day 13 of 90+ degrees and with the humidity the heat index is in the 100's:eek: We also went straight from winter to summer. I was on vacation 3 weeks ago and it was cold and raining. I am on vacation this week and we can't even stand to sit on the screen porch. We have been doing a lot of playing ball and chasing each other in the house. I have took Jada and Bogie out for a walk in the yard after 8pm and they still are panting after like 2 minutes. It is raining right now, so hopefully the heat wave will break here. |
I feel your pain. It's been in the mid 90s for 12 days or so, but we just got a ton of rain, so that should cool thing down a bit. We have to walk Ian around 645a when the heat hadn't kicked in, and again around 8p. GA heat + menopause = misery! |
That sounds so bad. From freeze to tropics in the same week. I hope the weather levels out for all of you and you can get back to enjoying spring with the furkids before it is officially summer. |
Me too I was so looking forward to seventy something degree days but we went from cold to scorching hot and our air conditioning is out so Im miserable. I now wish it was cold |
Well unfortunately I can't feel for you (although believe me I would want to...I love the hot weather) but it is only 61 today here in what is supposed to be warm sunny California. It's so ugly I wanted soup for lunch today. Send some warmth our way!! |

The weather is driving us crazy on this side of the ocean as well.. Warm when it was supposed to be cold.. dry when it was supposed to rain.. and now that it should be getting warmer... it's cold !! |

Ugh, us too! It's just too hot to be outside for anything. Rory seems to start melting during walks when it hits 80 out, and it even has me considering cutting both of my girls down partially in an effort to help cool them. |
