how can i stop my dog from running back and forth in the house?
 
MoMo is three months old. i bought her a few days ago. she loves to run in the house back and forth, and it's kind of annoying sometimes. how can i stop that behavior?

Sounds like she needs a good game of fetch to tire her out. :)

Annoying? That is terribly cute! I LOVE it when my dog does "zoomies"!

A young Yorkie (and maybe some older ones too!) will always have a lot of energy. My dog runs around the house a lot of times when he gets wet or when he comes in from a walk. He's either trying to get dry or just feeling good and wants to run!

:) poppy did this loads when she was a baby ;) she is now 4.5 and now and again she still has what we call a mad half hour , its hilarious , love jill n poppy xx :aimeeyork

Axel does this, but we love it! I love to watch him..he has his teddy friend that he gets going and tears it up back and fourth, they have to get this energy out! and I feel that is why Axel is so good once he gets the zoomies out he is a great lapdog! They must get this energy out! He did it more when he was younger and now has slowed down after almost 2 years...but when he gets going, we cheer him on! kinda saddens me that you would think this is annoying. Axel will even make circles around the coffee table, he is a trip!

Let my Brother in Law hold the dog, that will stop it for sure! If that fails, obedience training, a harness and a leash at your side

Your kidding right?? This is normal puppy behavior. This is their way of getting exercise, playing.

I love it when my babies do this.

Looking at your other posts, i am wondering if you are a troll...if you are, i suggest nailing your dogs feet to the floor...that will stop her running around.
And if you really do have a puppy, why not swop it for a goldfish...that would probably cause you less trouble.

My boys are 2+ years old now, and I wish they would run around the house more. :) I love it when they zoom or simply trot.
