I think Bambi really is a cute name. As others have said, she is your puppy, name her what you want!
It's you that's going to be saying her name over & over for many years to come. I think it's cute, & I've never met a dog named it.

She is YOUR baby and you have every right to name her anything you want. If your friend do not like it then maybe they should get their own dogs and name them what they want. Not meaning to sound rude but seriously, I think that was very rude of them to make you think you should not name her what YOU want to name her.

Thanks to everyone for the help. I agree on she's my responsibility and my baby so I will name her what I like but don't want to be looked at like I'm a dork when I say her name. I do like it, but I'm also liking Becca and Babe. Please keep the suggestions coming. And much thanks

I don't care what anybody thinks when I name my pets. You know how much slack I got when I named my cat Chooch? LOL BUT, my son was 3 at the time and loved trains and that's what he wanted to name him, so we did:D And ya know what, 3 yrs. later, I can't possibly imagine him with any other name - he's soooo "Chooch" lol, it just fits his personality perfectly;)

People make fun of me for naming Alice after a character in Twilight, I don't care, it's MY dog and I think her name fits perfectly:D. But on the flip side, just yesterday I was told "why did you give her a "human" name?, she's so tiny she sould be called something cuter", then I told this person WHY I named her that and found out she's a Twilight fan too and then it made sense to her and she loved the name:rolleyes:.

I think Bambi's a cute name, you should keep it:)

I think you should, indeed, name her exactly what you want! It's hard to believe people don't stop to think when they say things like your friend did! I try to remember not to say anything bad about potential names...then how awkward if they do name them that!
That being said...all rules are made to be broken :D, and I did tell a dear friend that she should choose Sawyer for her son instead of ALBRECHT :eek: when she was deciding between the two. She did, saving him from a lifetime of playground trouble, in my humble opinion.;)
I like Becca in addiition to Bambi. Seeing Babe in writing, you wouldn't know the pronounciation, and it looks like Babe, the big blue ox. (Sorry...had to break that rule again:()

I think Bambi is a real cute name, as a matter of fact I had a cat named Bambi who lived for almost 20 years.

I love the name Bambi!! I think it suits your little girl perfectly!! She is a doll right now and will grow up to be a gorgeous little girl, Bambi really suits her, IMO.

While I personally like people names for dogs (although I have met someone named Bambi:rolleyes:) I really like the name Bambi. I think it's just adorable!

Bambi is an adorable name, just right for a sweet, adorable puppy! Just like when you name your skin kids, everyone always has an opinion, but they'll get over it once the puppy is here. She's yours- you are free to name her whatever makes you happy! :)
